overzelous child protection workers
63who do you turn to when the government beaks it's own laws?
I am a mom whofound out that a friend of mine just had her children taken away over concerns and allegations. Wow This scares me because now the government can come in and take your children over a concern with no proof. I asked my friends what had happend. The people showed up questiond the older child and one parent. The other parent was at work. No in the child welfare act it states that the worker has to speak to everyone about the concerns and inspect the house. The worker did not inspect the house. Now here is the interesting part about this whole story. They told the parent that was at work that they wanted to talk after the parent got off work but they showed up an hour before the parent got off work and took the children. The parents went to court already and the only thing that the judge was worried about is an appointment that the older child apperantly missed. Now the person who is going to seopina says that they twisted her words that she did not say there was an appointment that the children's hospital was going to call when they had an appointment. The matter is the parents never got that call.
My question is where do you turn when the government breaks their own laws? It is hard to find a lawyer that will take this case on.
