How to Pack Cookies, Brownies and Bars for Shipping
62How to Pack Goodies for Shipping
What You Will Need:
Strong cardboard box Plastic or metal containers Plastic wrap, waxed paper or aluminum foil
Instructions:
BEST CHOICES FOR MAILING: Drop cookies, chewy or fudgy brownies, unfrosted crispy or chewy bars and firm cut-out cookies
POOR CHOICES TO MAIL: Cookies or bars with soft frosting, cake-like brownies, soft cookies or bars and anything that might melt or spoil in warm weather.
HOW TO PACK: Line plastic or metal containers with aluminum foil, plastic wrap or waxed paper. Wrap more tender cookies individually or back-to-back in plastic wrap. Pack everything snugly. Cushion cookies with crumpled waxed paper.
HOW TO SHIP: Pack each container of brownies, bars and cookies in a strong box. Place crumpled newspaper or waxed paper around container(s) to prevent shifting. Be careful when labeling box.
I would tell the person you are sending them to that they will be receiving cookies so they can be sure to bring them inside as soon as they arrive.

Great timely advice for cookie bakers! I read another interesting suggestion for packing - use airpopped popped popping corn as box filler, instead of styrofoam peanuts or crumbled newspaper.
