Paintball Guns
60Choosing the Right Paintball Gun
Good Beginner Paintball Guns
When you first start participating in the sport of paintball, you may feel the urge to invest the necessary money into a new paintball gun and equipment to use in the field. There are a variety of different factors you should consider for your first marker though. Are you going to need all of the necessary gear that goes with a new gun or are you only planning on going to the field once or twice a year? What is most cost effective and what kind of paintball guns are best suited for a beginner? You must consider all of these as each answers has a profound effect on what decisions you make.
First, you will want to select from cheap paintball guns as these stand a better chance of sitting within your initial investment range. You may think you want a larger, more expensive paintball marker when you first start playing, but keep in mind that top of the line paintball guns can cost as much as $1000 or $2000. When you just start playing, a basic paint ball gun will be able to tide you over.
Even if you are sure that you want a more expensive paint ball marker, you should practice a little bit with a cheaper model first. This allows you to not only be sure you are prepared for the sport, but also to know what kind of paintball gun you want. There are so many options that if you are about to invest in an expensive paintball marker, you should be prepared to answer all of the salesman’s questions.
Paintball Gun Packages
The best and most cost efficient paintball guns for beginners are often sold in packages. This allows you to get all of the necessary equipment you need to start your sporting experience. These packages usually include everything you will need to get started, such as:
- Your marker
- A mask
- A harness
- A view loader
- A CO2 tank
- A hopper
Different packages may contain additional extras, but everything you need with which to set foot on the field for the first time should be included and it will cost you much less money than if you bought everything separately. Good paintball guns in packages should always contain at least the most basic safety gear such as a mask or goggles.
When beginners buy paintball guns, they often do not know which packages to look at first. The following paintball markers are all good options for inexpensive, first time purchases. Remember, you can always upgrade later to more expensive, specialized paint ball guns to suit your needs in the field.
32 Degrees Icon X Paintball Gun is a great option for sub-$100 starter packages. The price is very cheap but the quality of the gun is surprisingly good. This model allows you to get acclimated to the early stages of paintball play before shelling out more cash for a fancy paintball gun.
For a slightly better model that also contains all of the necessary beginner’s equipment, the 98 Custom ACT PRO Paintball Gun from Tippman is a good choice at slightly under $200.
Finally there, are beginner’s packages that cost slightly less than $300 and offer the same complete equipment packages with slightly better paintball guns. The Smart Parts Ion and the Tippmann A5 are both good options for mid range beginner’s paintball gun packages.

Ions are great <A HREF="http://www.reddotpaintball.com/store/934302/page/9 guns</A>. My son uses an Ion Max'd. The article is correct. He is just 12 years old and has completely taken the marker apart and re-assembled without help from me. He has also been able to change the body kits himself. Recently, he went from Red to Gold. This model can be upgraded to the Ion XE. You can also change the color at the same time with the Conversion body kits. Add a Smart Parts HPA steel tank and air is consistent as the post mentions above. Bye the way, the Smart Parts HPA tanks are great for traveling as you can unscrew the tank and remove the regulator so that the TSA inspectors can see the inside of the tank This is criical for passing the guidelines. All in all, these are high quality <A HREF="http://www.reddotpaintball.com/store/934302/page/9 markers</A>.
