The title of a recently released ABC News article is simply "Sarah Palin Says Farewell to Alaska Governor's Office". This is quite expressionless, particularly with all the recent talk that Palin will run for president in 2012. WE KNOW SHE WON'T MAKE IT. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE.

The first sentence of this article is "Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, once considered a top candidate for (the) 2012 GOP presidential nomination, after sharing the ticket with Sen. John McCain last year, leaves the governor's office this weekend with an increasingly negative image and CONCERNS OVER THE DEPTH OF HER INTELLECT that threaten any future political candidacy". As if "an increasingly negative image" of "Gotcha" and "You betcha" isn't damaging enough there are now "concerns over the depth of her intellect". In other words, we now have to wonder: is Sarah Palin even SANE? This is certainly not a good indicator for someone who wants to run for the most powerful office in the world. If President Obama were TRULY to run against Sarah Palin, WHO COULDN'T EVEN FINISH ONE TERM AS GOVERNOR OF A STATE AS FAR-FLUNG AND REMOTE AS ALASKA, he seems to be pretty safe.

Now, it's time to look at/consider some stats. "Just FOUR IN TEN voters now hold a favorable view of Palin overall - A NEW LOW, DOWN FROM 58%,an ABC News/Washington Post poll has found". A politician with 58% approval ratings is doing OK. President Obama's approval rating right now is hovering around 60% at the moment. However, if a polician's popularity rating plunges 18 percentage points, from 58 to 40, as Palin's popularity has plummeted AS THE RESULT OF AN ANNOUNCEMENT, that is a very ominous sign.

In addition, "A majority of 53 percent now view her UNFAVORABLY, A PERILOUS FIGURE for any public office SEEKER". Palin had a public office that she has now given up and assuming that her unfavorable/undesirable rating smay well rise further, she may as well as get off the stage now.

According to Republican strategist Terry Nelson, who has advised former president George W., Bush and Sen. John McCain, "I always thought (that) SARAH PALIN HAD VERY STRONG CANDIDATE SKILLS and I think (that) if she wants to run for (higher) office, there are clearly Republicans OUT THERE that like what they hear. SHE'LL HAVE A RECEPTIVE AUDIENCE IF SHE RUNS FOR OFFICE". "She'll certainly have a receptive audience if she runs for office" because Sarah Palin is running a freak show and people think that it will be good entertainment and nothing else for Saturday Night Live (a show on which Palin has actually made an appearance), the Late Show with David Letterman or The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Terry Nelson must be out of his mind.

According to Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia's Center for Politics, "What's driving it is the resignation and all the controversy. Palin's become A GRAND SOAP OPERA that's playing out in places where a presidential candidate does not want to be". Politicians have to be steady. This is exactly what President Obama is AND THIS IS EVERYTHING THAT SARAH PALIN IS NOT. Steady does not mean putting on a freak show or "a grand soap opera".

According to Republican strategist Carl Forti, "Her future is WHATEVER she wants it to be (?) If that's TV entertainment or politics. BUT RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT TAKES MORE THAN CHARISMA. It's a hard road she can't do alone. If she intends to run she needs to build a team and GET BETTER EDUCATED ON THE ISSUES". Palin certainly isn't "educated on the issues". "But running for president takes more than charisma?" Sarah Palin has NO charisma.

Nelson chimed back in: "She could be a commentator". Mr. Nelson, by saying this, you're already ruling her out of the 2012 presidential race. "Other things I'll be looking for: What is the focus of her book? Does she get involved with some foundation? Does she try to do something that puts some thought leadership into some issues?" There's nothing worse than a leader who doesn't think and lacks common sense. "Right now, she's defined as a personality", instead of a politician and "not a lot of people would ascribe issues to her other than her personality" which, again, isn't good. Sarah Palin's "personality" can be summed up into "pit bull", "lipstick on a pig", "gotcha" and "you betcha", as if she can become president with those words.

ABC polling director Gary Lange writes that "As she packs up the Alaska governor's mansion and pushes back against the latest ethics brouhaha,Sarah Palin's got other problems. A more negative public image THAN SHE HELD DURING THE 2008 CAMPAIGN and broader questions about her grasp of complex issues", both of which carry even more negative connotations.

Forti further remarks that "Palin can use the bias in the community against the media in her favor. She can claim that she gets a bad rap in the media AND THAT ECHOES". Palin herself is responsible for this "bad rap" .It's been a long time since the Republicans have had a plain-talking CHARISMATIC candidate like Palin". SARAH PALIN is "charismatic"? She cannot compare with President Obama and their intellects are on completely different levels. "It's very easy to see why people like her". She can charm people's socks off, but she doesn't have any logic. "Her obstacle now is to take that charisma and prove that A THREE-QUARTERS TERM GOVERNOR FROM ALASKA IS QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES". Palin is acting out of pure arrogance and she will ultimately fall flat her on her face politically.

California Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry wrote a paper entitled "What Palin Got Wrong About Energy Policy". The answer to this question? A lot.

According to former Republican operative Mark McKinnon, who coached Palin duirng the 2008 presidential campaign, "MAYBE she's just tired of all the drama AND SIMPLY WANTS TO STOP THE MADNESS SURROUNDING HER". Palin created "all the madness". "Maybe she wants to focus on her family. She MAY make a lot of money GIVING SPEECHES". Who wants to listen to a rambling lunatic with no logic? "MAYBE she wants to host her own TV show" and become the joke instead of making jokes. "MAYBE she wants to start a Barry Goldwater-like movement. AND MAYBE she wants to run for President in 2012. Or, MAYBE SHE'S GOT A BOYFRIEND IN ARGENTINA" like South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford. If this is not a freak show, nothing is."Only one thing is for sure when it comes to Palin. There is more to come. Probabalt much more" which will keep the focus on Palin instead of on more important news events. SARAH, STOP THIS SOAP OPERA/CIRCUS NOW.
