Pay-per-Sale in internet marketing means we get a cut/percentage from each sale we produce. The product or service we sell is usually provided by someone else, called a Merchant. Meanwhile we are called affiliate marketer, this is a new model of business and apparently starting to become a trend worldwide.

More sales we produce, the more commission check or wire transfer we get.

How does the Merchant track which sales produce by which affiliate? Good question. When we as the affiliate sign up to the Merchant, they give as a unique link which we will promote in order to produce sale. We can place this unique link on our own website or blog, or alternatively we can simply put this link in an Pay per Click advertising campaign.

Paying per sale business model online is often seen as the payment model most favorable to advertisers and least favorable to publishers. This way according to the agreement, the publisher must not only be concerned with the quality and quantity of his or her visitor, but also the quality of the advertiser's ads and landing page.

Whenever possible, many content publishers / webmaster avoid sales-based agreements, they prefer the CPM model / pay per impression. But, some publisher when having weak ad sales, have no choice but to accept sales-based agreements to utilize unused space.

For advertisers, pay per sale has some unique advantages compared to pay per click and pay er lead. There are fewer concerns about whether conversions are legitimate, and whether raffic is incentivized or of low quality.
