If you are trying to get your website or business PCI compliant, I have a great resource for you. The PCI Security Standards Council is the organization that put together the PCI Data Security Standards, otherwise known as PCI DSS. The council is made up of the five major credit card companies and their website (found at https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/) offers a lot of great information and resources for you. They are one of the main sources I have found for all my research.

The PCI Security Standards consist of two basic steps. The first is to pass quarterly or daily vulnerability scans conducted by an approved scanning vendor (ASV). The second is to successfully complete a security self assessment questionnaire (QSA). The self assessment questionnaire asks specific questions about your business’s security practices, both on your website and in your office. The PCI Security Standards Council website gives you access to multiple versions of the SAQ in order to meet various situations.

The PCI Security Standards Council also offers training. It is a two day training course that helps merchants learn what the QSA is and also helps them to be able to prepare for an on-site assessment. In addition, the course also helps merchants learn how to complete PCI compliance and also how to maintain after their on site assessment is complete.

So check out the PCI Security StandardsCouncil for information on how to make your business PCI compliant. They have a lot of great resources such as links and videos to help you find the information you need.
