What is PCOS?
breast tissue starts to develop during puberty. With PCOS the breasts lack glandular tissue. glandular tissue is needed for milk production. PCOS affects about 10% of all women. PCOS is a confusion of the hormones or endocrine system. Polycystic ovarian disorder is usually recognised by small painless cysts on the ovaries. Women that have PCOS do not ovulate and therefore do not have regular periods and most often suffer from infertility.

How is PCOS diagnosed?
- Blood tests for hormones are done. The hormones are created by the ovaries, adrenal glands, pituitary gland, and thyroid gland. There are tests done for glucose, insulin and triglyceride. Sometimes an ultrasound is done to check the ovaries.
