Gadgets and Technology Makes A Pet's Life Easier

Pets love technology, too. There are all kinds of gadgets and things available to make your pet's life easier and more comfortable. Technology has done wonders for humans, but it also has benefits for our best friends and companions, whether they are cats, dogs, fish, birds or other pets. There are even gadgets to make our lives with pets easier (no more visible litter, for example). All you have to do is look online and you can find a cornucopia of technology and inventions geared for the furry creatures we live with.

First up, we have the KittyWalk Closet Sleeper. If you have cats, you know you can't keep them out of the closet. they love dark, cozy places to curl up and sleep and will climb your nice work clothes to get to that high shelf. Instead of fighting them, why not help them? Now with the KittyWalk, you can give them a dark, carpeted, cozy place to sleep without sacrificing your office wear and other good clothes. It works by hanging from your closet rod. Hang the KittyWalk next to your wall or shoe rack and give the cat a new way to curl up and sleep.

There is just no real way to make a litterbox attractive, is there? Now, there is! Enter the hidden litter box designed to look like a plater, complete with fake plant. This ingenious thing sits in a corner and looks plant like, fooling all of your guests. Well, fooling them until little Fluffy climbs in and starts scratching, but it is still better than the unsightly plastic heaps they sell in stores. They aren't very expensive either, and are well worth it for a little more decor and a little less unseemly waste area.

If you are a dog person and not a cat person, there are gadgets and inventions for your tail wagging friend as well. One of my favorites is the hands free leash system. If you walk or jog with your pet, or just take them everywhere, this is a much safer and more reliable way to restrain them, leaving your hands free for activities and emergencies. Not only are your hands free if needed, your dog is more securely on the leash. I'm sure everyone has lost the leash a time or two when Fido saw a squirrel he just had to have, right? this eliminates that, as Fido remains securely strapped to your waist.

The Telescoping Pet Ramp is a must for any dog owner. Every dog could use a boost into the vehicle, it's easier on their legs and joints even when they are young. Your dog will appreciate this even more as he gets older. This pet ramp telescopes to a smaller size you can take it with you packed away in the SUV or station wagon. That means you'll be able to help your dog in an out of the car at both ends of the ride. If you have a big dog who is older that you have had to help get into the vehicle before, then you know this will be easier on your back as well.

Regardless of how you use it, technology can be a good thing for you and your pet. Just don't allow technology to take the place of human involvement! Just because they make a self filling cat bowl, for example, doesn't mean you should leave fluffy alone for days at a time thinking it will replace a cat sitter. There isn't a substitute for a person to care for their animal.
