Lots of people love the idea of getting free things, that's where the need for GPT sites come in. There are a lot of GPT sites out there but only a few of them are even worth the time it takes to look at them. Most people just want either a free game or free time on Xbox Live, maybe even just some candy. No matter what your reason if you don't mind spending a couple of minutes every day doing some offers you will find that your points will add up quickly and you will be able to afford whatever you are looking for within a day or week. Some people even undertake the endeavor of trying to get a PS3, Wii, Or Xbox 360. These are completely possible to obtain but will take you a little longer than a week. Below is a video of someone from Points2Shop getting their PS3 slim which is a pretty exciting thing for anyone! So if you are ready to start earning your points keep reading, learn the tips and tricks for getting the most points possible for your time and start ordering your free stuff or withdrawing the money VIA Paypal.

How Do GPT Sites Work?

GPT Sites use advertisers that are willing to pay, say $0.50 for everyone that simply puts their email address on their site. Well, then the owner of the GPT site then gives you $0.25 in the form of points or cash, depending on what type of platform they use. Then you are able to redeem your points for items, usually on Amazon.

Tips

  1. Use Firefox if at all possible, Firefox has the highest approval rate because it works unlike a lot of other browsers out there. If Firefox is not an option Internet Explorer has the second highest so you won't lose much working with that.

  2. Clear your cookies after every single offer that you complete. This helps to give you accurate approvals and increase your approval speed by having very few third party cookies in your cache when submitting an offer for approval. You can do this a number of ways, my favorite is using Ccleaner because then I know that all of the cookies are gone. I go to Tool and Options in my Firefox and have it set to reopen all of the pages that I had open when I close it so that I can close Firefox, run Ccleaner to clear my cookies, then reopen Firefox and just log back in to the site.

  3. Use Grease Monkey Add-on for Firefox, and then run a script called Just Say No! This script basically takes a lot of time out of checking no to optional offers that you may encounter and skips so redundant offers.

  4. Tips on how to use Just Say No! Are that if you are stuck at a screen and it isn't going forward right click on Grease Monkey in the bottom right corner of the screen and select manage scripts. After you select manage scripts you should click add site then refresh the page you are on. If it still doesn't move forward then that page probably has a new titling for its buttons ETC. So not all sites will work exactly but still you will save a lot of time by using it on sites that do work!

  5. They recommend that you drop your real time anti-virus and firewalls, and possibly antispyware that actively screens (you can usually tell by the icon the your task tray down in the bottom right corner of the screen) because they may filter your third party cookies that you receive and can possibly hurt your chances of getting approved. However, a lot of people don't do this because they don't want to lower their protection, just in case. So this is really up to you but keep in mind that this can increase your chances of approved.

  6. You need a lot of email addresses in order to increase your chances of getting approved. Use Mailinator or 10 Minute Mail to get quick email without actually registering now ones, which takes forever. You should register 2 or 3 gmail accounts because some sites refuse to allow 10 minute mail or Mailinator email addresses. Using a fresh email every 2 or 3 offers helps to keep your approval rating high because they want new email addresses and if you use new ones you improve the rate that you get approved by a ton.

Additional Tips

Pace yourself! Don't just try to cram a whole bunch of offers in an hour or anything like that, do a couple and take a break. Most advertisers manually approve the offers that you complete so if you do some from different advertisers and then the next day go back to doing one from an advertiser you did last night, so that they will be more inclined to approve it.

Take advantage of everything the site has to offer. For example, Points2Shop has a weekly drawing and you get tickets for being helpful in comments on the different offers. So you could possibly win 15,000 or so points in a week if you took the time to help out other people and earn a lot of tickets you could be the lucky winner. I know I am trying to win the 15,000 this week I could get a lot of Microsoft points with that money!

Get referrals! Referrals are a vital point to any GPT site, not only the ones that are based on referrals but DIY sites also support a referral system. The referral system allows you to get substantial reward for getting more users to the site. For example, at points2shop the default is $.50 per person that signs up under you and $.50 once they complete like 5 offers. Not only that you get 15% of all the points that they ever get (it doesn't take it from them but it just gives you a bonus) so if they got 100 points a day you essentially get 15 points every single day for doing no extra work, just helping them when they need help doing offers or have questions is what a good referrer would do. So think about it, got a friend that you think could get some use out of this site? Refer them! The more people you have under your belt the better off you are.

Compete for prizes! Some sites, such as Points2Shop offer competitions for various games and the winner will get a prize or some points, not only are they fun but they can be rewarding by giving you that boost of points you needed to get your Xbox 360 or whatever you are saving for!
