And Now, Permutation Three

Today I will be discussing politics. And oh boy, can this sometimes be a can of Tatooine Sandworms. But as I said, I'm not here to waste my time or yours. I never attack people, or parties. Only actions.

I have no stake in your politics; I'm not even an official citizen of earth.

Don't Warn the "Rats" of their Dirty Deeds!

OpinioNation Lyrics

[Keep in mind this was shot and produced largely by the band it's self; even the video editing was done in-house. As technology gets better, all makers of media will be able to support themselves and each other.]

Group: Screaming Mechanical Brain

Album: The Process of Assimilation

You can believe what you believe, just so long as we all agree.
Loose lips sink ships, don't warn the rats of the dirty deeds!
Copy and paste, erase a race of educated motherfuckers out of place...
Police the street, censor the speech to keep a revolution just out of reach!
Silence the noise that preaches choice, so only sheep and cattle are given voice!
Hear the call to raise the wall to keep our evolution down to a crawl!

Keep your opinions to yourself, I said to yourself, just to yourself!

Think and do just what you're told, and you won't do nothin' else.

Keep your opinions to yourself, I said to yourself, just to yourself!

Think and do just what you're told, and you won't do nothin' else!

[We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.]

What makes these days so very strange:

The more things stay, they stay the same.
Lock us up to protect their freedom, take rest out back and beat 'em 'cause...

WE ARE the complication of issues and simple matters.
WE ARE a congregation of sinners to burn and scatter.
WE ARE in violation of nothing but made to feel that.
WE ARE part of the problem if we don't live by this motto:

Keep your opinions to yourself, I said to yourself, just to yourself!

Think and do just what you're told, and you won't do nothin' else.

Keep your opinions to yourself, I said to yourself, just to yourself!

Think and do just what you're told, and you won't do nothin' else!

Be(a)ware of the Wolves

Dictators love guns. It gets them down to the raw emotion of things. Don't like what I say, how I run things? I've a bullet for your head, and a mass grave of the dead.

But in a capitalistic society, pure dictatorship is a hard thing to pull off. Oh, it's possible. It's just not going to happen overnight. And when, or if it does, it must remain a secret. Not just because it's best for the unseen "they," but because its best for society. Keep the economic wheels turning, keep the passion and hope of the populace burning.

Making new toys for the Kings and Queens.

Your species right now has a lot of tribulations to face. Between climate change, water shortage, food issues, and finite resources, you've got to work together to be able to help each other out.

Not to mention that pesky economy.

But what is an economy? Its a system, an engine of creation for consumption, a way to universally translate man hours into materials essential for life and the enjoyment thereof.

In time, your world line will discover ways around shortages. As I have described earlier, matter is energy and it cannot be created nor destroyed. The ultimate form of recycling is breaking down the atoms of products, and recreating new products out of them. Perhaps you may be familiar with the Star Trek "replicator." It's science fiction, for now, but not scientifically impossible.

In due course, if you and your fellow humans can get beyond the need for nations and government, when you finally endeavor to create and perfect these technologies you will have essentially freed your civilization from the fear of never having enough.

After all, if all you have to do is ask for something and you know for the most part it will always be there...you no longer need to farm, or have massive buildings for warehousing and retailing.

So now you've seen a good goal to try and achieve. Unfortunately, as your society is today if these things were given to you tomorrow there would be riots in the streets. Because at this junction your population finds in its life a distinct need to work, and to work for your keep.

This, of course, is not a "bad thing," but rather a necessity for your species' current ideological truths. Idle hands are the Wrath of Khan.

In one world line I visited, (I'll conveniently and cleverly title Permutation Three.) their civilization atrophied into decay before a world war broke out. It wasn't the common persons fault, mind you. It was their supposed community leaders and public servants who conspired to maintain a specific rate of consumption.

They had been given the technology I spoke of above, but it was instated in the factories of corporations ever so quietly and the public at large had no idea they were being ruled over in the name of resource competition for no reason. The politicians were kept amused. They built the powder keg, then lit the fuse.

Probably out of boredom than anything else.

Winchester Sold to Death

Inspiration, a Tool of Deceit in the Wrong Hands

Winchester...who is Winchester? Winchester Repeating Arms Company; they created the world's first successful firearm that took less than a minute to reload. This was due to another technology that had came along: the self contained bullet cartridge. The world would never be the same, and America was the first to sink it's teeth into this emerging technology during their Civil War in your world line.

It was a war that lasted four years, but the economic engine of the infant nation was fertile enough to make advances in medical science and war mongering. Submarines, metal hulled ships (as opposed to wooden.), repeating rifles, exploding canisters, and more.

It's amazing what humans can do in just four years.

But why does someone drive to create such things, what is the payout? It's duty, patriotic pride, a defiled sense of accomplishment. If you don't have a drive for profit, you see, its quite hard to get anyone to do anything. But if you keep encouraging them, rallying them, telling them it's for the greater good....battles will ensue in the pursuit of gold, god, and glory.

Permutation Three didn't have to go through World War III. But the corporations and political pundits who were aware of the ultimate gift to society (virtually unlimited supply) realized that their dollar a day peasants had to be kept distracted. Also, the less of them to control, the easier to control.

I wonder how you may easily kill millions in a perceived legal and obligatory fashion....

He's got a compelling point...and a hint.

Untangling the Mess

I hate to break it to you, but the criminally insane are all rather intelligent. Remember, you only see them catch the dumb ones, or those who had made quite transparent mistakes in orchestrating their plans.

At this point in time your society is busy with it's self. It's busy funding a viral growth, propagating your lineage down the river of passing. I seek not to nudge you in one fashion or another--but ask yourselves what you have accomplished in such a small span in mankind's whole existence.

Many of you may think of all the negative, many of you I'm sure will have a list of positives. And it's very true, there's plenty of great things to say about your cultures. I even just bought a paid vacation to 1950-era Havana for a friend of mine, he can't wait to go. A lot of entities say great things about you guys, and it's no wonder.

We always try to keep positive. The negative is only an excuse to not change, what not to do. It is true that your society has weathered many forms of government and economic circumstances. But you've yet to explore all the possibilities, and the best possible outcome would be to help each other come together and create new ways to sustain your species and culture.

Politics, after all, is derived from the need to tell others how they must act in a society. Negative actions are justified because people need to eat, to have fun, to feel as if they have had more and done more than another person.

When you have no worries about resources, you have no need to race to the top. And when there's no need to race to the top, everyone becomes only equal to the value of their actions. Functions in society like a parliament, congress, seats of judgement and power slowly but surely become obsolete.

It drastically changes life in an unimaginable way.

Final Thoughts

Fear is the easiest way to control. What does everyone fear? Dying? Not having enough? Not feeling enough?

To be truly successful in controlling the masses, however, over specialization is a problem. Permutation Three understood this. They ultimately kept the concept of nations alive, using pride against it's lemmings.

I'm better than you, because you're not like me.

When Perm3 had to hit a reset switch, they pushed the button of nuclear war. When the dust settled their carefully planned goals had been met and they were able to raise society back up in their image.

World War III, Be all that you Can be!

World War III Lyrics

[Please note again I take no sides in your political squabbles. I have no right to entertain or opinionate in the name of any of your leaders. I can only judge them by their actions alone. So, being someone very into music I will be utilizing KMFDM. Please note, also, this has nothing to do with the views of G|M. I take him over, he looks good. ;)]

Group: KMFDM

Album: WWIII

I declare war on the world,
War in outer space.
I declare war in a nutshell,
War all over the place.

I declare war on every government,
War against all odds!
I declare war on your inner sanctum,
On your blood thirsty gods!

I declare war on the axis of morons,
All out war on complacent consent.
I declare war on the war against drugs,
Rape and Slaughter of the innocent!

War on big brother,
Warmongers and profiteers.
War on your dogma dubya,
Armageddon's engineers.

War in a heartbeat,
I declare war on so-called civilization;
World trade globalization.
Organized disinformation!

War on ambassadors of pretense.
War on MTV and CNN.
MacDonald's, Walt Disney and Bethlehem.
On Christina, Britney, and Eminem

I declare war on the world of anti-choice.
On violent unilaterally!
On the amassment of murderous high-tech toys,
And all crimes against humanity!

War on the moral majority,
On corporate.com imperialism,
On mindlessly bumbling stupidity...
And police-state terrorism!

That, my friend, is a good question to ask yourselves. I will not comment, for it's your species that must act one way or another, not me.

You are dead on, my friend! I wish it was only up to us, change would be less complicted, but this world's in a sorry state~ Gotta start somewhere.. me.

Oh and by the by, my 19 year old son came home the other day when I was playing your VNV Nation clip and he loves VNV he said and was a little horrified I was enjoying it too. "MOM? What are YOU listening to????"

I could say alot right now. Like how I think the president is a bobbing head, put in place to placate us while government does just what it wants to do anyway. A good president is able to blur the lines and almost seamlessly make the people think they are satisfied while at the same time, not ruffle any feathers in congress, or senate. That's why most grew unhappy with Bush; he flagrantly flaunted his power while making one stupid mistake after another, but I digress..........

hahaha Candie V., I'm glad I've been able to bridge the gap between generations and show you what I feel is the best of your music makers today. Many people don't understand industrial music and it's finer points of crafting melody and beautiful imagery through song and lyrics.

And you're right, it starts with you, with men are dorks, and with me...although I am not of your species, I share my wisdom in an effort to help and entertain your path into a brighter future.

I know you can do it, because I've seen it, and as time elapses you will begin to understand what I mean.

Powerlessness only comes from lack of self esteem and apathy.

atienza: in the future I will detail perm3's ability to craft the concept of politics around its populace. You need a fall guy, a person to point a finger at.

But ask yourself...how many parties are there in the American landscape? How many parties get to be talked about in your ever pervasive media? And most importantly, it seems funny to me that the republican and democrat parties have largely the same entry qualifications into a presidential race, and this suspiciously correlates with having money.

lxxy - again I admire your writing style and ability to deliver.

Unfortunately - without fear, without the drive to strive ... those that control the resources and how we are allowed to utilise them will fall off the money tree. Then they're just ground-walking monkeys ... fighting for peanuts with the rest of us.

fd: thanks! you're right, your species longs to stand on another's neck. But....this will not be something you'll actually need to do, at some point in your future. You will discover zero point energy (yes, it exists...) and replication; creating a material object out of..well, pure matter. And yes, its possible, too. When you have these two tools your drive to do ANYTHING as far as production and consumption will be forever altered. And for the better, as I have seen.

CC Riter: Perhaps you're familure with my host....GeneriqueMedia?

badco: thanks again =D I'll be trying to have a groovy weekend, G|M is working seven days this week. Not that he complains. But I am, 'cause he's less time to entertain me.
