Movie Review and Photo Gallery of Tamil Movie "Poo"
63"Poo" - The story of the movie is a love between an Engineering Student and a young girl.
Poo means flower in tamil, in this movie a young girl falls in love with her maternal uncle's son. This movie is a trend settig one based on a story written long back. This movie shows the other side of love - sacrifice in addition to dreams of love to realize their dreams.
Srikanth acted as Hero, and Parvathy acted in number of Malayalam movies as heroine and directed by sasi. His earlier directorial ventures are Sollamale, Roja Koottam and Dishyum.
The climax of the film Poo is said to be of the similar kind as Uyir and Parthiban Kanavu which is women centric and the hero losses weightage in the climax. The director approched many hero’s with this story but due to the climax no one signed the film. Srikanth who had just sorted the issues in his personal life agreed to do the film.

Poo Movie Trailer
Movie Review
Poo - the movie starts with the flashback scene of Romances of Mari and thangarasu, who are cousins in a village. She displays her unconditional love through concealed expressions. Mari clearly and boldly admits her love and wants to marry Thangarasu within their community and permits for their marriage. She heartily aspires and wishes for his happiness. The village people wants Thangarasu to pursue higher studies to study Professional degree in city life and to raise above poverty.
While Rasu and Mari's almost-unspoken love affair continues, complications arise. Rasu's father orders his son to marry the local mill-owner's daughter. Moreover, Rasu's desire to marry Mari fizzles out when he visits his friend's family and observes the possible perils of genetic defects in the offspring of a consanguineous marriage. Mari's family boycotts Rasu's wedding and Mari attempts suicide. So what happens next? Will Mari give up her love? Will she continue to dwell on her sweet dreams while Rasu is married to another? Will Thangarasu's wedding benefit him and his family? Does Thangarasu's father, in his tearing hurry to enter into a favourable alliance, stop to ponder on the priorities of his future daughter-in-law? How does he react and change his plans? What consequences can the forced marriage bring about? Watch Poo and you will know!
Poo is a movie that has given some budding actors a wonderful opportunity to set foot in the industry and they have done it with élan. Parvathy, the debut heroine has done a marvelous job, not at all showing any signs of inexperience. She excels in all kinds of expressions and an interesting thing is that at times one can detect traces of Padmapriya. Parvathy will definitely be a strong contender for the best debut award this year. Srikanth is on screen after a long time and appears in a role that is not the regular hero type. First, congrats to him for making the choice. He is adequate without being excellent, fitting neatly into the character. But the one who steals the show is the actor who plays Srikanth’s father, he is splendid and one to look out for in similar roles in future. The Rajapalayam accent has been adapted to near perfection throughout the movie. Poo is devoid of any commercial element. There are a few scenes here and there with situational humor that do not fail to amuse. The emotional scenes are the best. Made to near perfection, they will move even the most passive viewer close to tears, especially the climatic scenes. The movie has content that is enough just for a short story and has been narrated fluently on screen.
