Shamna Kassim is Tamarai and is Poorna. Poorna’s original name is Shamna Kassim, later changed to Tamarai and now changed to Poorna. Rather confusing. Well, we will call her by the current name Poorna.

Poorna is Malayalam girl, born in Kerala and started her career with Malayalam Movies in 2005 with the movie called “December” followed couple of more movies in Malayalam cinema. Including “Ali Bhai” and “Flash” in 2007 In year itself 2007, she got a break in Telugu movie with “Sri Mahalakshmi” in the title role of Sri Mahalakshmi. It was suspense thriller remade from Malayalam movie.

From 2008, she started doing lot of Tamil movies under screen name as Poorna. In current year, she is expected dole out about 5 movies in Tamil. “Arjunan Kadhali” is being released on 21 April 2009. She is starring opposite Jai.
