Like every other South American large city, Santiago suffers of overcrowding, pollution, and traffic jams. However there is a small portion at the heart of the city where a historical flavor remains. The Palacio de la Moneda is one of the historical buildings that make us to think of Santigo as the colonial town that it was years ago.

A popular excursion in southern Chile is the navigation through the Fjords between Puerto Natales and Puerto Mont or vice versa. This navigation in the Ferry Evangelistas of Navimag lasts three days and four nights and could be one of the highlights of your Chilean vacation. But to completely appreciate the trip you have to be lucky enough to travel during good weather. The Osorno Volcano is located in the Lakes Region of Chile. It lies in the Vicente Perez Rosales National park in front of the Llanquihue Lake and towering the Todos los Santos Lake. This 2652m high perfect cone is surrounded by splendid natural sceneries, a paradise for outdoor activities like hiking, biking or climbing.

The city of Valparaiso is located in central Chile over the Pacific Ocean coast, 120km to the northwest of the Capital City Santiago. Valparaiso was declared a world heritage site in 2003 thanks to its unique architecture, historical importance and natural beauty. The city most remarkable landmark is its funicular railway that diligently climbs the slopes of the surrounding hills dotted with picturesque houses.

Punta Arenas is the southernmost city in the Chilean Patagonia. It lies in the Strait of Magellan and has a population of over 140000 habitants. 65km away from Punta Arenas is found the Otway Sound, an excellent place to watch wild colonies of Magellanic Penguins in their habitat. These likable penguins gather every year between November and March to nest in this Sound.
