Positive Affirmations as a Stress Management Tool
68Relax and allow affirmations to go through your subconscious mind!

Relax and achieve greatness through your subconscious mind.
Positive affirmations are one of stress management tools and one of my top stress reduction choices.
Let me ask you a question :how much time do you spend talking to yourself during the day? In fact most of you are aware about nearly continuous inner ‘dialog’ going on in your mind.
- Is your self-talk helping or hindering you during the stressful times?
- Is your self-talk adding you more stress instead of helping you to manage it?
- Is your self-talk positive or negative?
How to create a Positive Self-Talk?
The effective way to reprogram your unconscious mind from negative thinking to positive thinking is to create and say positive affirmations.
The words and ideas that run through your mind are very important and has an enormous impact on your daily stress management.
What is affirmation?
An affirmation is a strong, positive statement that something is already so.

How to come up with your own positive affirmations?
1. Decide your desired outcome.
What you are trying to create in your life? More money, better job, healthier lifestyle? Would you like to feel more peace and less stress? Have balanced life?
If you experience difficulties try to imagine your ideal life.
2. Create Affirmations.
Once you are clear about the desired outcomes, try to put that idea into a few simple affirmations that reflect the reality of what you want to create.
Important: always use present tense; affirm the outcome as already real and present.
“I love and accept my body completely,” would be better than, “I want to love and accept my body”
This helps to program your subconscious mind to believe the statements, and that consequently helps manifest them into reality.
3. Always phase affirmations in the most positive way you can.
Affirm what you want, not what you don’t want.
Instead of saying, “I don’t want to feel stress,” use, “I’m feeling relaxed and in control”.
4. Repeat your affirmations often.
The more you repeat the affirmations the faster the results you get. Repeat them mentally or aloud several times in the morning or evening.

Tip
It is easy to forget your good intensions during your hectic stressful day.
A good idea is to create a reminder: write your affirmations on post-its and place around your house or office. Therefore you will see them and repeat them on regular basis.

You are welcome. I am really glad you find the tip useful. In fact - small reminders/tips can make great things - we do not need to keep all in our heads :).
Know what - try to take deep breath during your day - to activate your relaxation respense - and again create a reminder - when you look at it - take a deeeep breath.

I have the problem of forgetting to do my affirmations once I get to the office. You tip of writing my affirmations on Post-its and and placing them around our cubicle. Sometimes a simple solution eludes us. Thank you for your tip.
