What is PLR And Why Should I Use It?

Well to be honest if don't know what PLR is you probably don't need it! Private Label Rights or PLR are materials that internet marketers use to quickly develop websites/e-books/articles - whatever they need in their business. This is perfectly legal as the original author has sold the rights for the material to be reproduced without acknowledgment of the original source. If you are looking develop a passive on-line business you are going to need access to quality PLR at some stage.

Private label rights materials have been around for a long time but there is a big problem with it. Well actually two problems: one is the cost the other is the quality.

Although you can buy PLR as a one-off package either cheap or even free this tends to be the bottom of the dumpster stuff: badly written and copied again and again over the Internet.

Its certainly what put me off PLR: why would I pay for something that I had to edit anyway! Especially if you have tried editing something written really, really badly its hard work!

Do You Use PLR?

  • Yes I am subscribed to at least one PLR site which I am happy with
  • I am thinking about it but haven't done anything about it yet
  • I have subscribed now or in the past but I wasn't impressed
  • Private what?

Better Quality Private Label Sites

After a while I tried to find some better quality sies, and yes there a few around. But most appeared to be charging hundred's of dollars a month and I didn't have that type of cash.

But worse they often only provided text content. Now I can pretty up text into an e-book no problem. But no one buys from a site with no graphics, or pictures! You need some images! Now writing I can do. But I cant draw to save myself! I can't design a page to look nice! I know when a page looks nice, I can even code to get the right bits in the right place but I cannot do the design. I know I am no the one with this problem!

So I needed a source which would gave me templates and images that I could use and which would use as my own. That's why I signed up for Victor Franqui's new Private Label Chest: PLR site, because he said there were going to be heaps of images.

Well Vic included so many images and templates and related graphical stuff my hard-drive is yet to recover!

Privaet Label Chest Has Great Content Too

Most PLR sites seem to focus on materials for the Make Money On-LIne crowd. You know: Dominate Digg, Make HubPages Work For You! But that's not where the money is, the money is developing niche products that solve people's real problems. So Vic's collection at Private Label Chest is full of content on re-modelling parts of your house, how to deal with elderly relatives, children related niches. Real subjects and decently writtent stuff too. A lot of which I would be happy to put my name too :and I'm a writer!

Disclaimer

I do not market products that I don't use. I am a subscribed member of PLC and a very happy customer.

Private Label Chest is not for everyone if you can't afford the joining fee of $97 plus the on-going subscriptions of $29.97 ever month then please don't sign up. If on the other hand you want access to 67 products immediately with more available every day then I can assure you this is the best deal out there. I personally know people significantly more than that for only 10 or a 12 products a month.

If you buy Private Label Chest thru my affiliate link here I will get a commission. If I have introduced you to the product and you buy I think that's fair enough. It's not costing you anything at all.

Most PLR products I have seen contains rather crappy content, requiring major rewrite. It does serve its purpose as I can use the pieces I like, while the pieces I don't like still gives me some idea of what else to write.

Private Label Chest seems to be offering quality PLR products. I'll be sure to check it out soon.

I still don't get this. Why would anyone sell their rights and why would a good writer such as yourself use other people's stuff. Maybe a tutorial hub about how it works, or maybe you already have one.

Sorry HD - I need to think about the answer and its longer than a comment! The short answer is I like to write about what interests me: what doesn't interest me is like pulling teath! In fact I buy content with my freelance earnings so I can avoid writing for my own money-making sites sometimes! For example maybe golf clubs are a hot topic and I have just bought a good domain to promote say cheap designer golf cluibs. Now I don't know anything about golf clubs - and I care even less - so yess I could research and write about it but its as boring as hell! So instead I use the PLR which not only has the ebook but might also include the sales page (and the speciality that Im not good at but I am improving in) and some images I can use. So instead of of taking a week wrting all the material I can maybe spend a day or so just editing and improving the original. Its time / volumn thing. I would never use PLR on my own "flagship" blog at 100sites but Ido use it for other niche sites Iown

MrM - it is expensive: don't do it unless you are sure you want to develop lots other sites with the content that you get via Private Label Chest. It would be a waste of money for you. If however you are looking for a PLR subscription then I thoroughly recommend this product!

Quality content is key! I run a PLR website in which I sell articles that I wrote myself -- no article spinning junk. The greatest selling point I have is that, like Private Label Chest, I write quality content that a buyer wouldn't be ashamed to put on their website.

I don't know private label content. If helps lighten your workload and allows you to focus your efforts elsewhere when building your website or blog.

Some free PLR even contain virus and trojan horses. I guess "free" has a higher price.
