Priyamani, the dusky south indian beauty has her origin in Tamilnadu and she started her film career with veteran Kollywood director Bharathiraja's Kangalal Kaidhu Sei movie few years back. Although the movie did not do well commercially, it didn't fail to give her some fame that helped her sign further movies which also flopped like her debut.

Then, after some failures and moderate success movies Paruthiveeran, the tamil movie directed by Ameer brought her to light and it was the same movie that she got 'best actress' national award for. Priyamani has also been doing few movies in telugu and malayalam besides her Kollywood films in recent years.

Now, the Sandalwood(kannada film industry) fans also can see Priyamani, because she has recently signed for a Kannada language movie. Reportedly the dusky damsel had done some modeling projects in bangalore and hence she is much curious to do more in Kannada cine field too.
