If you are a vegetarian and you are having trouble getting pregnant, take a closer look at your diet to ensure that it has all the necessary vitamins and minerals/ nutrients.
7. Eating Disorders - Eating disorders can put your unborn child at risk and may affect your ability to conceive. Make sure you start eating normally and your weight is closer to your idea weight for your height.
8. Iron - Supplementation with iron were it is lacking can increase chances of conception.
9. Alcohol - if you are trying to become pregnant, both you and your partner should avoid alcohol because it can affect fertility as well as pregnancy outcome.
10. Vitamin C supplements can increase fertility in men.
11. Zinc is vital for the functioning of the reproductive system in both men and women. Deficiencies can result in decreased sperm count and mobility.
12. Selenium has been associated with fertility in both sexes. Make sure you eat enough seafood and whole grains.
13. Eating too many carrots, up to a pound a day, can affect your ability to conceive. Eat them in moderation.
14 Although regular exercise is health and good for you, extremely strenuous exercise such as can be found in many competitive sports can reduce your body weight as well as fat and has been linked to reproductive problems.
