So amazing it looks plastic

The tulip is a most rewarding bloom to add to your garden. One of the very first to apear when the sun first warms away the sun and SO beautiful, Gem-like.

They bloom for a long time and offer So many photo opportunities. I find the center of the tulip an amazing focal point.

This is a top view of one of my purple tulips. It is so vibrant it has a sureal quality. So amazing in its perfection it appears plastic, floating on air.

It is a bulbed perrenial that multiplies under ground to create new plants and needs a lot of space and sun to survive each year. Seperate the bulbs and plant elsewhere as it establishes itself over the years or they will crowd and not do well.

Planted sometime ago I am sorry I dont recall this ones specific name.

I created a really amazing garden of my own, have had it for years now and it is always a work in progress. I have taken pictures close up of a lot of different kinds of flowers and have experimented with different places that work best for certain colors, heights, and plant choices. If you would like to see more of my garden, this is my site.

Iris

I have been very pleased with the colors and hardiness of my Iris plants. They bloom for a long time and are easy to care for. This is a great site that I found for advice.

I quote the first paragrah...

"With hundreds of varieties in several different colors and combinations, Irises are popular and easy to grow perennial. The most common larger varieties are great at the back of the flower bed or as a cutting. For flower growers, there is a place in your garden for one, or several groups. But, be careful, as they spread quickly and can overcome other flowers"...

I have blue delphiniums, all white ones, and white with black delphiniums too.

These flowers become more amazing every year. The color of the blue is so intense I photograph it often. You will see quite a few pictures of my delphiniums in my garden site. The gardener's network has a good page on advice for growing.

I quote to you the first paragraph...

"How to Grow Delphinium

Annuals and Perennials, Ranunculaceae

There are both annual and perennial members of this tall and showy, flower family. These spiked flowers originated in Europe and are found naturally in forest clearings. They re an old-fashioned favorite. Gorgeous spikes come in jewel-like shades of blue, lavender and diamond-bright white, some with darker center spots"....
