Mysterious Five Chocolate Boxes:

A person carries some number of chocolates with him and finds a table which has 5 Big Baskets.

He puts all his chocolates in first Basket, surprisingly the number of chocolates get multiplied 5 times.

He leaves X number of chocolates in Basket 1 and moves the remaining chocolates to Basket 2

Again those chocolates which are put into Basket 2 get multiplied 5 times, he again retains same X number of chocolates in Basket 2 and moves remaining to Basket 3

He does this exercise of retaining X number of chocolates in each Basket and moving remaining to next Basket till he moves it finally to Basket 5

Surprisingly at the end of it, all 5 Baskets will have same X number of chocolates

Question.

How many chocolates he originally carried and how many will be left finally in each of the Baskets?

4) 625x - 156y

5) 3125x - 781y = y

Eqn

3125x = 781y

x = 781/3125 y

x = 781
y = 3125

The basic solution
He has 781 choclates initially

1) become 3905 leaves behind 3125

2) rest 780 become 3900, leaves behind 3125

3) rest 775 become 3875, leaves behind 3125

4) rest 750 become 3750, leaves behind 3125

5) rest 625 become 3125
