61who is the best - Rafi or Kishore?
I used to side with Kishore but of late, I realised I hadn't heard much of Rafi.
Rafi has sung some of the most memorable songs ever.But Kishore Kumar's voice is a bit more versatile, he adjusts his voice to suit the actor.
I was trying to see a singer shining under all music directors. Of course, they all are great and have shined individually too.
I think most Raj Kapoor movies were composed by Shanker-Jaikishen and probably since most of Mukesh hits are of Raj Kapoor films, may be we will have to see his songs that are not of Shanker-Jaikishen. Only from Bobby, Raj Kapoor strated using, I think, Lakshmikant-Pyarelal and Mukesh was not singing after that period.
Rafi has sung for all - SD Burman, OP Nayyar, even Shankar-Jaikishen (Ye mera Prem patra padkar, tum naaraaz na hona - song from Raj Kapoor movie only) etc.
There is one song sung by both Kishore and Rafi and those who listen to it would invariably consider Kishore the better singer. Which is that song? They both sing the same song in the same movie.
