Why Do We Need Three Grades Of Gas Right Now?!
54
Really Stupid Country!
Just a quick one to address a concept that seemingly no one is yet saying anything about.
Why on earth should we still be producing 3 grades of gasoline?! Who on earth is stupid enough to still be putting Premium in their tank?! Think about it: If they weren't making 89 & 91 Octane, but instead using all of that WASTED OIL to simply produce all 87 Octane, wouldn't that bring prices down? If you don't think so, then you're obviously a dumb Liberal...move to San Francisco, and go live in a tree with an owl...where you belong!
Now, for people with a little more comon sense: Go out and drive around the Country. Imagine stopping by every single Gas Station in this entire Country. Walk over the tops of those tanks underground. Stop and think for a minute about if there weren't 3 different tanks down there? What if there were only one, and it contained only 87 Octane Gasoline? Multiply that by the Tens of Thousands of Gas Stations in this Country. Expand that to the entire planet...I'm afraid to even think about it!
Remove the Greedy, Secular-Progressive Idiot Liberals from the equation. I used to live in California, and I used to drive a 300 + horsepower Corvette Stingray. It was Gas on & Gas Off all the time...hardly any need for brakes! I was geeting like 12 MPG...but gas was only a little more than a buck a gallon! I'd be ashamed to be driving that car today. Sit outside of a Chevron station for awhile, and count how many Mercedes Benz, Lexus, BMW, Hummer, etc. owners select the 91 Octane. Higer Octane Gas doesn't save fuel. It only results in better performance, and a slightly cleaner fuel system. In short, it's usage right now is nothing but a waste by selfish, and self centered people who are just fortunate enough to have the money for those cars to burn that gas.
It's these greedy, secular-progressive PIGS in this Country that have caused this mess...as long as they have Their Money, they could give a Rat's Ass about the rest of the Country! Personally, I think it's too late. The Saudi's know it. Bush knows it. Washington knows it. We're Fu*ked...and they're just too afraid to tell us outright!
FORWARD THIS HUB http://hubpages.com/hub/reallystupidcountry to your Representative in Congress. If enough people do so, maybe there'll be enough gas left for us to drive to work tomorrow (or we can afford to)...and maybe enough oil left for school busses to take our kids to school! As I said in another one of my Hubs: Next year will be the 40th anniversary that we were brilliant enough to put men on the moon. Shortly afterwards, we were "told" that cars would "soon" be getting 30+ MPG. We're still being "fed" the same loads of Crap Today...just so those Fat Assed Big Oil CEO's can afford to give everything to their Fat Assed wives! AREN'T WE BRILLIANT!

John, I appreciate your comment, but (if indeed so) how many people even know this...9? And, quite frankly, I don't think that you're even at all seeing the Big Picture here. Do you have a mortgage? Do you have children to feed? Are you aware of the fact that Iowa's corn farmers are facing one of the biggest disasters since The Depression? We don't need to be using our CORN, WHEAT, RICE, COWS, CHICKENS, ETC. right now for anything else but FEEDING OUR PEOPLE! Not some hair-brained things like making fuel out of them. And, definitely not shipping them off to far off places around the globe! Come back down to Earth, man! Or, go lobby for Big Oil! Unless nothing short of our miraculous discovery of how to soon harness Fusion, we're in a very desperate situation! The Auto Makers could just as easily engineer engines to run fine on that 85 Octane...if they wanted to. Then, all 3 of those tanks under those stations could be filled with nothing but 85, and I bet the prices would reduce drastically. But the absolute best possible solution to all of this is just for AMERICA to simply STOP DRIVING for ONE WEEK. Such BOYCOTT on BIG OIL will rattle their cage so bad that they might finally actually believe that they're not some kind of Gods, after all! The Airlines no longer do. Big Tobacco's been taken down a few notches. The Auto Industry's desperate, and finally scaling back production of SUVs! eBay...don't even get me started on how much I believe they (and many others like them) have ripped people off Big Time. Printer manufactures...some of the Kings of Crooks! So much more to come!

No one really makes 89 octane. Its a blend of 87 and 93 gas. Or they use a octane enhancer like Ethanol to increase the octane. I worked for a small independent station that used to purchase 87 octane and added 10% ethanol which boosted octane to 89. Actually, gasoline raw after production has about a 84 to 85 octane rating before octane enhancer's are added. Some engines I would say prefer higher octane so the question is should we not just eliminate the 89??
