Abdominal Fat: A Threat To Your Health.

Obese people who have more abdominal fat (an apple shape) are at a higher risk than people who store excess fat in their hips and thighs (a pear shape). Obesity is also associated with insulin resistance as well as a number of other features of the metabolic syndrome.

Metabolic syndrome is a very dangerous situation. It is a cluster of conditions such as high blood pressure and high blood levels of glucose. Metabolic syndrome is a combination of medical disorders that increase the risk of developing cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Abdominal Fat: The Causes.

Abdominal fat (the excess calories) is primarily stored on top of your abs muscle tissue as layers. Abdominal fat has a relatively greater sensitivity to cortisol than peripheral fat, so individuals with higher cortisol reactivity, high resting levels of cortisol and /or great exposure to events that evoke stress response accumulate greater abdominal fat.

Abdominal fat is caused not only by excessive calories and a lack of exercise, but also stress or inflammation. Abdominal fat loss is a 20% exercise, 80% nutrition combination. A fat loss diet must be low in calories .

Abdominal Fat Loss: Help Yourself With Body Activity.

Exercise has been shown in some studies to have a beneficial effect upon abdominal weight loss. Exercises that call for raising the legs instead of the upper body are very effective at strengthening the transversus. Exercise simply builds muscle - it does not "convert" fat into muscle. However, tighter muscles do help to "pull in" fatty bulges, so exercise can help to give you an improved "tighter" look.

Abdominal Fat Loss: Your Ultimate Diet Help!

Exercising alone would never solve the problem as it is only relative. Until and unless a person controls the diet that he consumes one cannot succeed with weight loss.

I agree,But my advice is to do some sort of cardio for at least 30 minutes.

Also, in order to lose at least a pound, you have to exercise daily over the course of a week.

But why is it so difficult for most people to get a six pack?

Did you now that we all have six-pack abs? The reason most of us can't see our abs is because they're covered by a layer of fat.

The main difficulty, if any, is really to get rid of your body fat partly by doing ab exercises but mostly with cardio, strength training AND a healthy diet.
