all the modern refrigerators are energy efficient but if the door gasket is broken you are wasting energy.
if you have a side by side or a top and bottom refrigerator,by top and bottom i mean how the doors open, the most common place for the door gasket to break is at the bottom of the refrigerator side, the reason for this is mainly from juice or other sticky substances that spill in the refrigerator they run down to the bottom and over time it become like glue so the gasket is always sticking to the bottom of the frame and eventually rips the gasket whenever you open the door.
we all spill juice in the refrigerator mostly by accident, but if you have children you can blame it on them because they do it most of the time.a wet sponge with warm water can usually clean up any spill on the gasket and the the frame of the refrigerator before it start sticking.

never thought about that... we have an ancient refrigerator but the gasket is relatively new. we'll have to check if there's dried-up stuff stuck on it.
yes look at the bottom of the gasket you will find it quite sticky

- Supermarket Savings
Buying food at the supermarket is something that we all do,we all get hungry so eventually we have to eat, the cost of some food have gone up over fifty percent from previous months, and saving money has become a concern for all of us. I use to see people at the cashier with coupons for most of what they are buying, they take up more time than people without coupons, and I think that without my knowledge of the savings they were getting, and being in a rush all the time, I have being missing out on some great. - 15 months ago
- Whirlpool Polara Refrigerated Range
This is a stove that has the capability to also be used as a refrigerator, this stove was introduced about 6 years ago. The idea behind this stove is that it gives the owner the options to take the chicken out of the refrigerator and place it into the oven where it can be kept cool for several hours. With the stove set to the cooling mode cooking can be set to start at a later time. - 2 years ago

Great advice, glad you're back! I used you dryer hub to help me fix my dryer. It is a new dryer but the clothes were not getting dry, they were just damp. We first pulled out the dryer and looked at the vent and it was clear. Today I went to look at the outside vent and noticed the cover was filled with lint; the dryer air was not able to escape. I cleaned it out and I think it should be fixed now. Thanks for sharing your appliance knowledge with us! Your advice really helped! ;)
