There are more links between physical health and religious faith. Surveys to carry out a detailed exmination or inquiry, especially officially, in order to find out about the links between the role of religion in health have established that regular presence at one’s Church, Mosque, Temple, Buddha Vihar etc., has bearing on longtivity. Even within religious group of people who live in the same area, or the area in which they live, the more you attend your place of worship. Religion appears to bequeath on believers a sense of direction, gratification and pliability in the face of misfortune. This is due to anticipate provided by faith, with which modern medicine and psychotherapy can simple not contend. It would come into view that true secret of the power of religion to extend life lies in the link between religious faith, mental well being and physical health.

HOW THE RELIGION HELPS.

  1. The meaning of life that religion offers and the sense that prejudice will in due course be corrected by God seems to bring trust in the face of despondency and so assist in coping with emotional stress.

  2. Social hold up and friendship consequent from the recurrent attendance at religious services provides mutual help and assistance in time of need.

  3. Many religions advocate fasts which prevent obesity.

The Gains of Religious Worship

  1. Religious people endure from less anxiety about death than the non religious, thanks to a comforting belief in the afterlife. Becoming stressed at the prospect of death, possibly makes the event all the more likely.
  2. The long time endurance after serious illness or surgical operations such as open heart surgery is significantly linked to positive console derived from your religion.

  3. Although both sexes live considerably longer if they take part in religious activity, women gain almost twice the advantage than male receive. That might be because women are twice as prone to melancholy as men, and many receive more psychological support from religion as a result

Great information. I agree that the more religous a person is the better life will be for that person. And in all aspects of life including health.

You know sukkran, I once held a job where people were constantly fighting. Going to church for me then was a necessity. It can be so easy to get caught up in all the drama, fortunately attending mass helped me put things in perspective. Thanks for the great hub!
