How to Remove Bonzi Buddy

Bonzi Buddy is a walking, talking and singing Internet browser help tool. It helps when you search, and it become somewhat of a nuisance for Internet users that found themselves with it attached to their browsers. Since the end of 2005, the company that produced it went out of business, but it still sometimes finds its way into search engine add-ons. However, it still has found its way to be downloaded and used by those on the Internet today.

First, you want to close the actual Bonzi Buddy program. To do that, you can either enter the program and close it out by clicking Exit. If that does not work, you can shut it down through the Windows Task Manager, although this should be your last resort. There should be an Uninstall tool for it in its program folder on the State Menu; if not, you can go into the Add/Uninstall Programs menu via the Control Panel to uninstall, too. Once you have run through the instructions for the uninstaller, restart your computer to see the fruit of your labor.

If it is still active for some reason and did not fully uninstall, you may need to repair/reinstall the full program and then uninstall once more. Sometimes during previous uninstall attempts, files may have been deleted needed by the uninstaller to complete the process. Once the entire program is uninstalled, you will want to go into your Program Folders and delete the Bonzi Buddy folder to get rid of any leftover files. Restart your computer once more, and the Bonzi Buddy program is gone.
