The Renegade Network Marketer and Monetization

If you haven't read Ann Sieg's ebook, The Renegade Network Marketer, do yourself a big favour and read it. It changed my whole perspective on network marketing and MLM as no one had ever told me what she revealed in the book.

One of the key things that Ann Sieg talks about is monetization. When I first read it, bells and light bulbs kept going off in my head! To me, this was the key. Why do we get stressed out building our network marketing business and MLM? I think it is because we feel that our business isn't growing fast enough. But what is so bad about that? The big thing is that building your business slow is costing you money. It costs money to fund your business. Functions cost money, training costs money, CD's and DVD's and books cost money. Marketing costs money, travel costs money, having meals and coffee with prospects cost money. Paying for leads cost money. Paying for autoship costs money. Long distance phone calls and internet access costs money. I think you get the picture.

The key that Ann Sieg provided was that while you are going through the prospecting process in your business, you can monetize on the way. That is, you can generate positive cash flow as a byproduct of your prospecting activities. And if there is sufficient funds to cover your costs to run your business and maybe have a bit left over, isn't that going to take a load of stress off of you and you can build your business without that sense of desperation? And with the kind of money that Ann Sieg talks about, it may even be tempting to not worry about your network marketing or MLM business at all and just focus on the monetization.

The way the Renegade Network Marketer ebook teaches it, you first provide a valuable information product to your prospects at no charge. For example, you could use the ebook The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing. The prospects that find you on the internet will already fit the profile of an ideal prospect because they found you in the process of finding out more information about business opportunities, network marketing, or MLM, or network marketing training. The prospect then reads the information and learns that you are indeed providing them with valuable information and that you would be a valuable resource to them. You then provide them with a retail valuable information product and that gets the monetization rolling as even if these prospects do not get into your business, you are already making money on your information product sales. And then when the time is right for your prospect and for you, you offer them your business opportunity.

As you conduct your prospecting process, you are building a contact list. If you are a student of internet marketing, you will know that building a contact list or mailing list is the key to major monetization and cash flow. The people that have given you their contact information already know you from the valuable information you have provided them, either free or for a price. They know that you are an expert and they know that they can trust you. If you now place various offers in front of these contacts such as affiliate offers for products or services that you recommend, you will get a good percentage of your people making buy decisions for these offers. And as your list builds, the money that you can make off of that list builds. Opportunities will arise that you could never have participated in except that you now have the marketing clout of a huge contact list that you can present these offers to. To keep this going, you have to make sure that you maintain the highest ethical and moral standards and that you never take advantage of the people on your list, for once you lose their trust, it's all over.

Monetizing while you prospect is the difference between success and failure for many people. It's one of the things missed by the network marketing industry for years.

Why this is I can't figure out because businesses in other industries have known it for literally centuries. It's about time we figurerd it out too.
