Robin Quivers Diet
74Robin Quivers Diet - How Robin Lost Weight With The Master Cleanse
Perhaps the number one reason most people fail at diets is that they don't realize they must change their entire attitude about eating in order to keep their weight off. Not so with Robin Quivers. "This is my way of life now," Robin says of her weight loss on the master cleanse diet. She credits her weight loss of 70 pounds to the diet which requires dieters to drink nothing but a mix of lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper during the diet period.
Robin first learned of the master cleanse diet from magician David Blaine. During his appearance in an episode of The Howard Stern Show, Blaine raved about the wonders of the master cleanse diet which raised Robin's interest in the weight loss plan. Since she had tried almost every other diet plan available, she decided she may as well try this one also.
Robin claims she started the diet not so much as a way to lose weight, but as a way to feel better physically. According to various report, she had been plagued by health issues including joint pain and fatigue since 1989 when her doctor started her on steroid based medicines to help regulate her menstrual cycles. Not only did Robin want to be relieved of her extra weight and feel better about herself in that area, she also wanted to find a way to help correct her health problems. So she started the diet. As she lost weight, Robin noted she began to feel better physically also. Robin said that on each day she followed the diet plan she noticed she "felt a little less stiff. I was sleeping better."
Robin said she lost the weight, a total of nearly 70 pounds, during three weight loss periods. During each period, she would go without solid food for 21 days in a row. During her fasting periods, she would drink only the lemonade made with fresh lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper, which is central to the master cleanse diet.
Even now that she has returned to her normal eating habits and no longer fasts, she said she still drinks the master cleanse lemonade during the day, but has a salad or fish for supper. She admits to also having an occasional drink or snack so that she doesn't feel deprived.
For Robin, her time on the master cleanse diet turned out to be more than just a way to lose weight, but also became a way for her to feel better about herself and be healthier. In fact, she compares her diet to a spiritual journey.
While many fail at diets because they do not change their lifestyle and eating habits, Robin has succeeded where others have failed. She has made health a part of her lifestyle and has kept her weight off by changing her ways of eating and thinking about food. She has traveled a spiritual path that has led her to a healthier body, cleared her health problems and improved her self esteem.
