We all know the RSS feed symbol

Really Simple Syndication

Should you link an RSS feed to your blog ?

RSS means "Really Simple Syndication."Your readers can follow the RSS feed of your blog or website and will be informed automatically every time you update it with a new article, video, etc.. Normally you submit RSS feed to blogs because they are updated more frequently than a static website.

To RSS your blog allows your readers an easy access and with the RSS feed generator you will create targeted website traffic because it is so simple and time-saving. This technique is called RSS optimization.

The best RSS feeds will help your blog or website to get a better ranking from the search engines. I am sure that it was due to my RSS feed that my Spanish blog showed up at page one at Google.

Your RSS feed provider gives you the statistics of your RSS feed so that you can make your best marketing plans with this information.

Which RSS feed provider should you use ? Well, Google offers a free one called Feedburner which is easy to handle and it provides you with the RSS subscription gadget, the RSS analysis and a lot of funny subscription options to spruce up your blog, as they call it. But there are a lot of RSS Feed Services, you can find them with a Google Search and choose the one that suits you most.

You can also subscribe to RSS feeds of other blogs or websites that correspond to your niche and link them to your blog or website. So you are showing not only your own fresh quality content but you are also providing incoming links and promoting your blog.

RSS has to be seen as a form of advertising for your blog, website, video, podcast, audio, etc. It makes your business visible and attractive. It is a very important item for network marketers because RSS produces automatic lead generation and lead duplication and therefore more results with less personal effort.

I am new in online writing. I have seen this RSS feed so many times. I am just so naive not to bother learning more about it. Your hub helps me to understand it better. But how can we use the RSS feeds in hubpages? Should I just click the RSS capsule everytime I make a hub? I hope you don't mind if I asked you these questions. Thank you for writing this hub.

Hi Tina, you are welcome. When you write a hub and publish it your readers can click your RSS feed in order to be constantly informed about your new hubs. Hubpages provides this service to their writers.

You can click on a RSS feed of a hub writer you are interested in in order to receive automatic updates of his hubs.

If you have a blog or website you should install a RSS feed for others to be able to be automatically informed of any update you make.
