Rush – About the Band

Rush is a Canadian band comprised of Geddy Lee as vocalist/keyboardist/bassist, Alex Lifeson as guitarist, and Neil Peart as drummer. They were formed in 1968, and since then have received various awards, including several Juno Awards, the Canadian counterpart of Grammy Awards. In 1994, they were inducted into the Canadian Hall of Fame.

So far, Rush has a total of 24 gold, and 14 platinum records, of which 3 are multi-platinum. They are also ranked fifth by the RIAA for having the most consecutive gold and platinum records, just behind The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Kiss, and Aerosmith. Each of the individual members of the Rush band has also won several awards for being proficient on their respective instruments.
