Singles may or may not know about the ever growing online dating industry. Here is one fact, there are thousands of free online dating websites singles can take advantage of but are they truly what they advertise to be? Some dating websites claim to be 100% free dating but in reality are not, as soon as a member joins and wants to have a private camera chat with someone they are interested in they get directed to their paypal account. Why is that? Some dating services advertise they are free because they are free to join but that is about it, you have to pay for their features, most of them anyways. The reason being is that these dating websites want to target these keywords, example they do not want to lose out on the 300,000 people searching for the keyword phrase 'free online dating’ each month, according to Google.

How can these dating sites actually do this? That is a grey area just like how Google is supposed to ban websites that pay for text-links. Like mentioned before these websites are somewhat free, they might be free to join or they might be offering a trial-period of some sort, that is why they can target such keywords. Now another ‘trick-of-the-trade’ is that some online dating sites pay for directory listings, even tough Google plainly states websites will become disqualified from the search listings of they buy text-links. From my knowledge Google does not penalize websites that pay for relevant directory listings.

 If you are considering owning a dating personals site, here is my advice to you. You have missed the boat, you should have come up with this plan a few years ago because you might have had a chance. Now you will have to do massive research, endless hours of optimization, have agonizing headaches, and watch your competitors stay on the top due to tricks and ruthless games.
