Salma Hayek is an American mexican actress, director and tv and film producer. She was born on September 2 1966 at Verzcruz, Mexico.

She was the duaghter of a Spanish mother and a Lebanese father. She was raised in a catholic family . She studied at Louisina boarding school at the age of 12.

She went to Houstan, Texas to stay with her aunt where she stayed until she was 17.

Then she moved to Mexico, where she studied International Relations as University Student and later decided to drop her studies and pursued career as an actress.

Salma Hayek is the first Mexican to be nominated for the Academy Awards for the Best Actress.

1. Because people don't understand or appreciate a woman's ability to do such an amazing thing. And that's just what it is, AMAZING. I think it's a beautiful thing that she did. There is nothing wrong with it. People need to stop being so closed minded and think of what a MOTHER would do.
2. I don't have an issue at all with what she did... except that it was a publicity stunt. The child was hungry again a few hours later. I know she did it to raise awareness, and again, it was not wrong of her, but I still have that small part that thinks what happened to the kid after the reporters moved on... I would have loved to see a follow up story that she had somehow taken this family under her wing and set them up with food for milk for the baby until the baby didn't need it anymore. Not that she should have to have that responsibility, just that it would have been nice to see.
3. At the end of the day if she wanted to do that its her decision and it shouldn't matter to anyone else, my only thought on the situation is due to the mothers inability to feed the child how would she feed the child afterwards and wouldnt the milk be far richer than what the mother could of fed it with due to differing lifestyles and would that of been detrimental to the child?
4. I think it is wonderful. A baby is hungry and she gave it milk. I don't think that babies hungry stomach cared where the milk came from and neither should we..
