Sandra K. McBeth, utilized her strong educational background and nurtured a desire to own her business to become one of the nation’s most industrious and successful business and professional women. McBeth obtained her undergraduate degree from Indiana University and immediately following graduation enrolled in a double Masters degree program at Pepperdine University where she graduated with a MS degree in Urban Planning and MA degree in Public Administration. She financed her way through law school by selling plants and jewelry at swap meets for 2 years. During her last year of Law school at the University of West Los Angeles, where she graduated with a speciality in Real Estate, She opened a jewelry store called “Good Rapport Jewelry.” This undertaking developed into an extremely profitable business that lasted fourteen years.
In 1981, She found United International Mortgage after working for a real estate law firm and a mortgage company while awaiting results from the California Bar Examiners. As a recent divorcee, with a very young son she overcome many obstacles including starting a mortgage company in a year where interest rates were 18%, and there were few woman CEOs in the mortgage industry. McBeth Start and formulated plans and finalized agreements to established the company as a premiere firm that specializes in large commercial, industrial and multi-family real estate financing. as well as residential, conventional, FHA and VA financing.
From its inception UIM has been community oriented believing that primarily UIM is obligated to bring its clients the very best in mortgage loan programs available and secondarily all borrowers are entitled to the very best loan for which they can qualify.
By 1994 UIM had become approved to originate FHA loans and subsequently appointed as an FHA Title-one direct lender.
