Sangeetha a.ka. Raskia is a bit old Telugu/Tamil actress. She started her career in 1995 with a Telugu film against Telugu comedian Ali. Since the beginning she starred in B-Grade movies with very log budget. But that was until KHADGAM in Telugu along with Ravi Reja, which as hit and a very popular movie.

I personally like her brilliant performance in Pithamagan (co-staring: Vikram, Surya Sivakumar and Laila). Pithamagan met with critical acclaim after its release in 2003. It won National Award for 2004 - Silver Lotus Award - Best Actor - Vikram. Apart from that it won 6 Filmfare Awards in 2004 in Tamil Film Industry, including Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for Sangeetha. Sangeetha played the role of Gomathy - a ganja seller.

Another excellent performance of Sangeetha is in the movie Uyir, which is moderate hit, if not a supper hit. In UYIR, Sangeetha had a very bold role in the revolutionary story which is normally not acceptable in India. The story revolves around Arundhadhi played by Sangeetha who falls in love with Sundar (played by Srikanth) who is her brother in law (husband's younger brother). After the demise of her husband, she started loving her brother in law.

The film attracted a lot of controversy for its bold theme from the press. However, the women welfare organizations welcomed this viewing as an outcry for freedom of expression of Indian women.The producer R.Balaji and the Co-producer Singapore R Saravana explained the message under the story and were confident of making the audience accept. Finally, because of the underlying social message, the film convinced the audience and made a decent success in the box office.

The Buxom beauty Sangeetha has acted opposite Madhavan, in Evano Oruvan, produced by Abbas Burmawalla and Mustan Burmawalla. She also played a minuscule role in Kaalai. She is also a judge on Vijay TV's hit show Jodi No. 1 season 2 and 3. She was one of the three judges along with Simbu and Sundram in season two and with S.J. Suryah and Sundram in the third season.

In Sangeetha's personal life too she got into controversy regarding her link-up with Telugu producer and 'Uyir' director Samy. But she manage brush off all those allegation.
