The Temptation of Satin Panties

The world of satin panties is a tempting and fun one. Women of all ages enjoy looking at them and admiring the many available colours and styles, rubbing the fabric of them between two fingers while marvelling at the satin’s softness, and buying as many pairs as their budgets will allow. Luckily, these panties are not much more expensive than their cotton cousins, so it is easy on the pocketbook to build up quite a collection of them in no time.

Why Satin Panties?

These popular panties are sold in many places both offline and online, so it is a simple matter to find them whenever you decide you need some new ones.

You may be asking yourself why someone would want to choose a satin garment over, say, a nylon or a cotton one?

Satin feels elegant, smooth and wonderful against your bare skin. It is a sensuous and joyful sensation you will not soon forget, and one that you will want to repeat over and over again, as often as possible.

Panties made out of satin have a way of making a woman feel very feminine, indeed.

Real Satin Panties or Synthetic?

If by chance you have never purchased satin panties before, a bit of research on your part will reveal that there are two different types of panties that are sold as satin ones.

One of these types is, of course, a weave made from real satin, while the other is crafted out of a fabricated synthetic material that has the sheen and the feel of satin.

You can purchase panties made out of the synthetic satin at a cheaper price than what those made from actual satin would cost. Just be aware that there are two different types being sold in stores today, and do not pay the real satin price for a pair of synthetics.

Satin Panties - who says bloomers aren't sexy?

Satin is actually made from silk, much to the surprise of many people. Just run your fingers over the weave, feel the smoothness, and notice the beautiful glossiness. Is it any wonder that royalty always seems to wear an abundance of satin? This is truly beautiful cloth!

However, the synthetic satin has its own good points. It is usually made from blends of nylon, polyester, and rayon. Synthetic satin is a little easier to clean than real satin, which can sometimes be quite beneficial, depending on the stain.

Panties made from satin, whether real or synthetic, are very comfortable. They cover without riding up on the buttocks, if you have selected a style that is supposed to lie flat on the cheeks! The satin will not stretch out of shape, is of course machine washable, and very durable. They keep their “new” look longer than other types of panties.

Satin Panties Can Set the Mood

There is something about satin that conveys a sense of innocence and sensuality at the same time. It is no mistake that the lingerie most brides-to-be purchase for their special day is made of satin.

Most of the time, you can find satin bras and/or bustiers to match the satin panties you have chosen. This can give you a complete satin lingerie ensemble for a very reasonable price. Wearing satin lingerie can make a regular workday a little more sensuous and sexy. Moreover, it goes without saying that panties made of satin can really help to turn sparks of love into flames!

Styles and Colours of Satin Panties

Newcomers to the world of satin lingerie are often astounded at the variety of styles and colours available when it comes to selecting panties. Low rise, v-string, hipster, bikini, crotchless, boxer, high cut, boy shorts, thongs, and the list could go on and on. Colours of satin are like that of a rainbow. The richness of each jewel-toned colour, plus the beautiful sheen of the satin itself combine to create quite an eye pleasing display. There is probably no colour that you cannot find in a collection of panties, be it in a solid shade or a range of prints.

You can find these panties as part of a lingerie set, or as garments that can stand alone on their own merits. These versatile panties can be trimmed with lace, sequins, rhinestones, bows, or feathers. Almost any sort of trim you can think of blends in beautifully when it comes to satin panties!

Just curious, the old reliable cotton has some absorption qualities, does satin posses the some of he same qualities?

Good old fashioned satin does, but the nasty mixed fibre synthetic stuff is bad

Julie-Ann,

nice hub to illustrate a product type of Hub . . . pun intended. But, seriously, good use of writing to a specific product.

Hey Julie-Ann! I like satin for the feel! I prefer them in a hi-cut though so they give a better support and a firmer fit.
