The day after Christmas sale has huge mark downs on wrapping paper, ornaments, artificial trees and lighted decorations. I start buying for Christmas the day after Christmas and shop all year long. Every time I find something someone may like, I buy it and put in it a huge tote until the next Christmas. This allows me to give four gifts for the price of one. Something may come off from the clearance line but it is still is the same item that I would have bought three months earlier at the full cost. So it's not like it is a sub-standard product. We once bought a huge artificial tree with huge light included for around $50the day after Chritstmas, it was nearly $100 at Christmas time.
Here are some things that i have found on clearance lines any time of the year that make great gits. Fancy picture frames, books, bedding, towels, planners, dishes, and jewelry. Another money saving technique is to buy several on sale items at a time. If something is on sale at the grocery like chicken legs .79 lb, instead o buying one or two packages, buy 10 and put them in your freezer. Canned food is good to buy in bulk, because if will last longer. If you buy in bulk every pay day eventually your cabinets will be full, because your family will only eat a few of each item you buy. Collaborating coupons with the sales at the grocery store saves a lot of money too. A lot of times you can get items for free. If the coupon is for fifty cents, the store doubles the coupon and the item is one dollar you saved a dollar and got a freebee. Being a bargain hunter is not being cheap it's being smart with your money.
