About Sciatica Foot Pain
The condition where inflammation of the sciatic nerve occurs is known as Sciatica. Presenting symptoms of tenderness combined with pain along the sciatic nerve area that travels through the thigh and leg, this type of condition most often begins in the buttocks. It then gradually travels downward, along the rear of the thigh, then on to the sole of foot.
Note the pain may also be felt in the lower back. And also note the other points regarding sciatica foot pain:
1) The most common symptom of sciatica is the pain in lower leg, posterior thigh, and foot. Although sciatica pain occurs in the buttocks region, true sciatica is marked by radiating pain beyond knee. Patients with a history of sciatica suffer intense pain in their legs and sometimes their back pain disappears completely without leaving a hint of the previous conditions.
2) Although no particular motion or event can be associated with Sciatica Foot Pain; standing, heavy lifting, bowel movements, sneezing, or sitting have been found to aggravate the pain. Lying down for a while is the most effective way to ease such types of pain.

Some muscle relaxants and analgesics are prescribed by the doctor or sometimes a situation may demand injecting an anesthetic in the vicinity of spinal chord.
Recent surgical techniques have effectively addressed the problem of how to treat sciatica, as well. Microsurgery and percutaneous removal of the disk fragments have made a great difference in the way Sciatica Foot Pain is treated.

It's the little things that can mean a lot, where foot pain is concerned, too. If you have foot pain, it may actually be due to any number of things. Here are some reasons why and what to look out for:
1) You shoes may not be the correct size. Sizes in the shoe industry do change over time. And so do feet. As you grow, your feet tend to flatten, growing into the next size, especially for those bearing added weight over the decades and / or from bearing children. So resize your feet and check the sizes in new shoes for a good match, seeking help from staff on hand at shoe stores. There's no shame in moving up a size or a couple sizes.
2) You may need inserts in your shoes. Often over time, arches fall, causing pain that appears to be like arthritis or other diseases. If you are unsure, ask your doctor to help test your feet or eek help from an orthopedic foot store with certified staff who can help. Then choose sturdier shoes and inserts to match.
3) It may be all in your posture - at work and play. If you work all day at a computer and are actually sitting, standing, etc. at angles that are irregular; i.e. causing stress to our feet and / or legs, this can affect you so that you suffer foot pain. So stop and take a good look at how you are throughout the day and make adjustments with orthopedic furniture and other helpful aids as needed.

I know a few people who've had sciaticia pain in their feet and it just sounded dreadful. I have a lot of empathy for people experiencing leg and back pain.
