Whatever your niche is - search the Internet for blogs, message boards, etc. for sites that have content pertaining to your niche market. Leave comments on the blogs and other social sites. This not only helps them, but you will have your name on possibly hundreds of sites. Many of them will allow you to include a link to your website with your posted comments.

I could go on for pages, but I think you get the idea. If you do all of the above for six months you can have hundreds of visitors to your website everyday.
