Outsourcing
48How To Outsource
When it comes to hiring people to do custom work for you, I've found this to be the way things usually go:
All these freelance services pretty much work the same.
1)you put project up.
2)people bid on it. 3)you pick service provider and Escrow funds through the service (Elance, GetAFreelancer, Rentacoder, etc.) 4)Person doesn't do it right and either disappears or gives you the wrong stuff. 5)You tell service provider this isn't what you wanted 6)Service provider usually agrees and says he can't do what you wanted. (Sometimes they fight you but usually they just say they quit). 7)Both you and service provider cancel project and your funds are returned from Escrow 8)Repost project and start on #2 again. 9)Repeat until success! Yay! -The key is, don't release any money from Escrow until you have an app that, get this, actually "works to the specs you put up".. -You can put all the projects up you want. You are under no obligation to chose anyone ever for a project. Sometimes I put a potential project up (only costs the listing fee which is minimal) just to see if anyone knows what I am talking about or has it done already.Your mileage may vary.
