62Set Goals with Pictures
Is your goal-setting becoming a bore? Sit down for a couple of hours and flip through some magazines. Cut out any pictures that appeal to you -- bright colors are best! Now, go through the pictures and decide which ones reflect a goal in your life.
Grab a sheet of construction paper or printer paper, and simply paste your cut-out picture on the page. Write your goal across the top of the page. You have just created an imaging page for your goal.
We are much more likely to reach our goals if we have pictures and accountability. Let's think about accountability. You want a goal that you can measure. Something that you can achieve and know you achieved it!!! If your goal is to lose 10 pounds, then certainly that is measurable and you will know when you have accomplished that one!
On your imaging page -- the one that you just created, remember? -- now set a date or a measurable goal. New House? Probably 2-5 years from now. Travel to the Florida Keys and swim with the dolphins? Lose 20 Pounds? Whatever the goal/dream, set a date for realizing that dream.
Every day visit your page and spend about 5 minutes imaging yourself achieving your goal.
