Make Money Sharing Pictures with Shareapic

Shareapic is a photo sharing website. Members can join for free, upload photos and share them with friends and family. Shareapic also offers members the opportunity to earn money from impressions on their photos, the impressions from their referrals impressions and the opportunity to participate in the Bidvertiser revenue sharing program.

What's the earning potential? According to the site, the earnings vary based on the earnings of the site. On average, you make approximately 22 cents per 1000 views. The earnings may not seem very appealing, but here's a thought to ponder. When people search the Internet for Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears or Jessica Alba, they are looking for the latest photographs. People send and share photographs all the time.

After being a member for over a year and only earning approximately six dollars, I decided I would take a more aggressive approach to earning on Shareapic. Over the past couple of months I have been trying a couple of different things using my Shareapic images to see what effect it would have on my earnings. None of these changes required a lot or effort. In reality, the few changes I made didn't require any more time or effort then the methods I was implementing before. The changes I made were small but definitely made a difference in my earnings.

The images on the right represent my earnings. I have made more in the past 3 months with Shareapic than I did in an entire year as a member. I can request to be paid when I reach $20.00 and according to the information on site I will be paid within seven days. My preference would be selecting to be paid via paypal although I do believe other options are available.

One of the other options I have to increase my earnings is referring new people to Shareapic. What I find amusing is I have referred over 30 members to Shareapic. This sounds great but only two are active and one of them happens to be my daughter and it's been awhile since she uploaded any photos. So, you see the main purpose of this hub is to help people who may have already joined Shareapic and just aren't really sure how to make money with it. I hope it sheds a little light on how easy it can be to make money and everyone can benefit from uploading and sharing photos.

The only way I was originally making money with Shareapic was by uploading photographs and posting my albums on my Anime Photo Galleries and Moreblog. Over the past three months, I made it a point to add my blog to as many blog directories as I could. I made it a point to list my blog in at list one directory every day. I also took advantage of free link exchange websites like Link2me and Linkalizer in order to swap links with similar websites. Creating a blog for sharing photographs is only part of the process, the second part is generating traffic.

A second tactic I used on my blog was to link one blog post to another. I am a huge Naruto fan and created a number of Shareapic galleries of many of the characters in Naruto. Originally, I added my entire gallery to my blog and invited my readers to visit my Shareapic gallery to see if any new images had been added since the post had been made. Now, in addition to sending my readers to my Shareapic galleries, I send them to my other posts on my blogs with similar photo galleries.

As many social networks I am a member of I can honestly say I never really took advantage of the free blogs many of them have. Lately, I have taken advantage of the blogging options to share some of my photo galleries.

The second way I increased my Shareapic earnings was in social networking communities. I decided, I wanted to share some photographs of my family and instead of creating a Slideshow, I created a family album on Shareapic and added to my profile page. In the photographs above you can see my November 2008 and December 2008 stats for some of the images in my family album. I should mention, the image stats are not reset every month but continue on from the previous month. I have only added my family album to a handful of the social networking communities I am a member of. I still have plenty more social networks to add my family album to. I do not add my entire album to my social networking profile. I normally add some of my favorites and a link people can click if they would like to view the rest of my photographs in my album.You can see exactly what my album looks by visiting my social networking profile on Lazzeo.

But that's not all. Instead of looking for Have a Nice Day comments on other websites to share with my friends, I started using a photo from one of my albums I created on Shareapic. Why use a comment from another site when I can potentially earn money from sharing one of my images from one of my photo albums. It made sense to me and I feel it has definitely helped me increase my earnings.

Now, I haven't determined what comment method works best for me yet but I have tried a few different options. One was gathering Have a nice day comments, hi comments and showing some love comments and creating albums. I would then select one of the comments from my album, generate the code, copy it and leave it as a comment for one of my friends.

I wanted to be a little bit original with my comments, so I started taking photographs from the photo albums I created and using them in a couple of different ways. Sometimes, I would simple copy and paste the code for the image in the comment area (example1). This method works well if there is already a caption in the photograph I am using, however, in my example there is no caption and the comment looks rather dull in my opinion.

So in example 2, I added the code for my image and added a Happy Holiday comment under it. Another option I could have used was added my comment as a link leading back to my Shareapic gallery.

In example 3, I added my Shareapic image code, my Happy Holiday comment and a link entitled Merry Christmas Photo Collection which would lead to my photo album. I could have been a little more forward and said click here to see more photos or feel free to browse my entire Christmas photo collection. I don't have a preference, I think it depends on the mood I am in or the person I am leaving a comment for.

It's only been a few months since I decided to get serious about Shareapic and I am sure there are still plenty of ways I can increase my Shareapic earnings.  One of the features on Shareapic, I haven't taken advantage of yet is the Quickpost option.  It allows me to easily post to sites like Tagged, MySpace, Orkut, etc.  I did used Quickpost a few minutes ago to post my latest photo gallery to my tagged profile.  I plan on using this feature more frequently in the future.

Something I didn't know until I decided to create this hub about Shareapic is I am allowed to click the images in my photo galleries once a day. This is very Interesting because for the longest time I was petrified of accidentally clicking on of my  own images and having my account deleted.  Whew, what a relief! I decided not to click the images in my own photo albums at this time because I am still experimenting with different ways to increase my Shareapic earnings.
