Show Up On Google - 3 Easy Methods

Your website is finally done. A designer you found online made the site. The site looks very sharp. Now 6 Months have passed and nothing has happened. New customers and sales were supposed to be generated by now. Why haven't sales increased? Why doesn't your site get any traffic?

Failure to show up on Google search results could very well be the problem. Potential customers need to be able to find your site in Google when they are searching for the product or service you provide. Why is Google such a big deal? Google is used by more surfers than any other search engine. If your site does not show up on Google, a lot of potential exposure is being lost. It is imperative that your site show up on Google.

Getting listed in Google's index is not that difficult. A website owner has many options to getting his site added to Google's index. Three simple ways to get indexed are: submit your url to Google directly, get a link to your website from a site or webpage already indexed, or find a topic related to your site content and write an article about it.

The first and least desirable method is to use Google's add url page to submit your website. You will be added to the long list of sites that use this method, and there is no guarantee they will even add your site. In reality, Google would rather find your site on their own.

The second method is to get a backlink from an established (already in Google) website. Google will then (at some point) crawl that site again and follow the backlink to your site, hopefully adding it at that point if they like what they find. The more frequently the site updates it content, the more frequently Google will revisit the site and find yours.

The best of the easy methods is to write a good article on a subject related to your web site's content. Articles have a resource box where the author's information (and a link to your site) is entered. Google frequently visits article directories in it's quest to find new content. Once your article (and your backlink) get added to the article directory website, it won't be long before Google finds the link and follows it.

The methods above are the 3 easiest ways to make that happen. Once your site shows up in Google search results, website optimization will be necessary in order to have the website appear as close to the top of the search results as possible. It is utterly essential to show up in Google search results. Your website's productivity depends on it.
