VINNAI THAANDI VARUVAAYAA is a kollywood(tamil) movie which has built lot of expectations due to many reasons ever since the film and crew had been officially announced.
Gautam Vasudev Menon, most widely known as Gautam is known for stylish movies in South India, though he made one film in hindi also. After the massive hit Vaaranam Aayiram, Gautam has started this movie - Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaayaa while it's known that already he has completed major portions of his other movie Chennaiyil Oru Mazhai Kaalam.
Trisha plays the female lead role in both of the above mentioned current projects of Gautam, and A.R.Rahman is composing music for the both films. It's been reported that Rahman will be the music director for Gautam's every movie in future having the director has had a disagreement with Harris Jeyaraj, his favorite music director cum best friend.
