The need for "work at home"

You don't need to be an expert to see that the current state of the economy is hitting all families HARD. Single or coupled, parents are being stressed beyond belief! Traditionally "secure" jobs are evaporating, careers are ending, and the dollar buys less and less everyday. Enrollment for public assistance and unemployment benefits are at an all-time high while the cost basic necessities have skyrocketed. Whatever you particular financial crisis, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! We are all struggling to make a dollar out of 15 cents. While we are fighting to provide for our families, we are also forced to neglect them for jobs that are demanding twice as much work for the same or less pay. Children are already catching our anxiety and needing more attention and comfort.

There is a silver lining to this cloud: Since we can't count on someone or some company to provide for our family's financial future, we are free to shape a NEW plan. That plan requires us to take control of our own destiny and our financial future. It will inevitably involve the Internet. We need to earn money AND give our children all the things money CAN'T buy. We'll have to be our own bosses, manage our own time, set our own priorities.   Few of us really appreciate how vast the Internet is. It entertains, informs and yes, it makes money. It holds the biggest work force on the planet. It can be intimidating. It can also be misleading: "Make thousands per day, while you sleep!" Sometimes, you just have to use common sense. But, there are real opportunities on-line. You just have to know what you're looking for.   There are alot of companies advertising for people to work from home. Don't be afraid to take a closer look! Just stop short of forking over money until you know exactly what you're paying for. Also, make sure you can live with the initial investment. Will you need to continue paying to participate? How much time will you need to invest daily? The internet offers us the opportunity shape our work around our families. Seems more natural, doesn't it?   Take your time but start researching now because we all need accept the fact that we need to make money with our computers. We are going to make it through this tough time. And we will come out of it in better shape than before because we have taken control of our livelihoods. We will prosper while putting our children first!

I feel for ANY single parent in the current economy trying to survive! Lucily for me I am not alone. I've been unemplloyed for the last 5 months, and if it wasn't for the strength of my wife, as well as her income, I don't know where my family would be. Here's hoping success in all you do!

Thanks for the comment and support, Uriah! I know it's rough being unemployed. My fiance and I have switched places at least 3 times in the last 2-3 years. This is probably the time to start your own business! Good luck and kiss your wife often!

Great words of encouragement here and I have found that self employment is the only way for a single parent to provide the balance needed between making bread and baking it!

Another great idea for you parents wanting to work at home would be writing for the examiner.com. They are always looking for new examiners, and writing about being a parent could be your topic. It is not full time paid work, but you do get paid for how much traffic you can bring to your articles.
