SiteWinks (http://www.sitewinks.com) is the brainchild of a web

developer who found himself frustrated with the challenges

associated with site awareness and promotion. With countless

numbers of creative and popular websites on the Internet and

growing exponentially everyday, it has become increasingly

difficult to not only find great websites, but also to promote

great websites.

Search engines have mysterious and often proprietary means

of ranking and displaying sites in their search results, making

it frustrating to web developers, businesses, and average web

surfers alike. One could spend hours digging through search

results only to end up visiting countless redundant or irrelevant

sites that offer nothing of interest or of great value. SiteWinks

was created to help alleviate this burdon.

With a "Digg-like" format, anyone can create a free account

and begin submitting their favorite websites to the community.

Members can then "Wink" at the sites they like, making those

websites more prominent to visitors and members alike. In addition,

users may comment and review each of these sites, creating

discussions and buzz around the sites of their choosing. Sites

are categorized neatly and a powerful search engine helps one

to find what they're looking for quickly. With reviews and "Winks"

associated with these submissions, users have much more

information about these sites and an incentive to visit them. It's

also a great way to learn which sites are gaining in popularity.

SiteWinks will be a great resource for anyone who would like to

either promote their own site or discover others.

So go on...give your favorite site a wink!
