Sitter: Nanny, Babysitter, Housesitter or Petsitter
68Sitter is a person who assists us to take care of something which can be our baby, kids, pets and even our house. This job is requiring not only good knowledge but also needed skill to carefully watch our precious. Now, for every sitter, there should be specific skills needed so that they can perform their job professionally.
Nanny
If we like to watch television reality Nanny 911, then it is obviously that we should know what a nanny should be. A nanny is not only taking care for our kids but also setting up a family rule so that every member in the family can respect and love each other. This is not an easy job as we could see that many parents hardly find best way to interact with their kids as they never learn how.
A nanny understands psychology very well especially regarding with kids and also human interactions. They know how to solve problems by pointing out rules which should help everyone to change behaviours. A full time nanny may be paid for $ 350 up to $ 700 per week that is why many parents choose to pay their nanny by the hour - depending on how much does the state set the minimum hourly wage (it may range between $ 5 to $ 20).
Baby Sitter
A baby sitter is defined as a person engaged to care for children when the parents are not home. This might sound similar to a nanny but a baby sitter usually only works accidentally when parents are leaving for events in which they don't bring their babies with them. A baby sitter should know how to watch out a baby such as feeding and even making them sleep or stop crying.
A baby sitting job is usually done by teenagers who are looking for pocket money from their neighbours by taking care of their kids while they were away. These days there are not many parents who let their babies to be watched out by teenagers and they prefer their relatives who are their nieces or nephews to do the baby sitting job.
House Sitter
It is rather odd when you leave your house and someone is taking care of your house while you were away and this house sitter is usually working in villas which are visited by the owners once a week for a refreshment. Their presence in your house when you are leaving cannot guarantee that your house would be safe of course but at least if there is something happened then there would be someone who looks after it.
Usually house sitters are not being paid but there are some of them are hired or paid with quite amount of money for about $ 25 if not from agency and it might be $ 200 for a week. Always find a house sitter who is older than 17 - while some others say above 30 - because he or she is older enough to be responsible with your house.
Pet Sitter
Now this sounds to be an easy job as long as the person is friendly with animals. But why do we need a petsitter? The reason is simply because pets are fed and cannot find their own food. Usually a petsitter will be needed when a family go out of town and no one in the house is taking care of the family pets. Well, that is almost the same with housesitter then?
Petsitter can be a certified professional who has obtained a high level of expertise through personal study by completing a course of study in pet care, health, nutrition and behavior, and a complete pet first aid course. Petsitter is different to petwalker which can be done by a 13 years old because petwalkers are only taking out your pets for a walk.
