Skateboarding Trick Tips

Skateboarding is not just about the clothing or using a skateboard for transportation. Stunts are everything when it comes to skateboarding.

There is such a multitude of skateboarding tricks, there are tricks almost any beginner can master in a few weeks or less to the ones so difficult that pro skaters spend their entire careers trying to pull even one off. What should you do to develop your skateboarding trick skills?

Number one is buying the right gear.

You will typically be better off searching for skate gear at a skate shop rather than a department store where it all tends to be more pricey. You may want to purchase some saftey gear first as being a beginner you will probably fall a lot.

With the right equipment, you are ready to begin learning about riding the board.

Keeping your balance on a skateboard when it is still isn't much of a problem, but can become one once you start moving. More so when you start moving quickly.

You can start visitng the parks once you master basic balancing on your skateboard. "Grinds," "board glides," and "gaps" are simple maneuvers that most skaters try to master before progressing to more difficult stunts.

Remember this, skateboarding is 90% mental and only 10% physical.

Almost everything is going on in your head. Stay positive when learning and if you start getting fustrated landing a certain trick stay calm, take a breather and maybe try it again later.
