Face Care for Acne Prone Skin

Learning about proper face care for acne prone skin can drastically cut down on the amount of breakouts you have to deal with.

Some people have no problem with acne. They might get the occasional pimple here and there but, for the most part, skin blemishes don't give them much trouble.

Others are very prone to acne. And many of them don't know that there are things they are doing that are actually triggering some of their skin problems.

If you can identify the things that can aggravate your acne, and eliminate them, you could go a long way towards solving some of your skin troubles.

Here are some ways to take care of acne prone skin.

Be Gentle with Your Skin

You might have heard that dirt and excess oil are what cause acne. So, to get your face cleaner, you use the strongest anti-acne cleanser you can find, you wash with the water as hot as you can stand it, and you scrub your face as hard as you can.

But scrubbing your skin too vigorously, and using skincare products that are too harsh, could actually be aggravating your skin problems, and making them much worse.

When washing your face, be gentle. And use warm, even lukewarm water.

When using skincare products especially made to treat acne, start with the mildest formula you can find. If that doesn't work, move up to the next strongest formula. You want to use the gentlest formula possible that gets results.

Use Water-Based Products

When choosing grooming products, read the label. You should only use products that either have "water-based" or "non-comedogenic" on the label.

Clogged pores are a major cause of acne. And products that are non-comedogenic won't block or clog your pores.

Avoid Sunlight

For those dealing with acne, sunlight can worsen your problems in two ways.

First, exposure to the sun's rays can aggravate your skin problems, making them worse.

And, secondly, some acne products will actually make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.

You should protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays. This means using a non- comedogenic sunblock. You might also try wearing hats with a wide brim or bill that will shield your face from direct sunlight.

You should also avoid using tanning beds or tanning booths. These procedures will damage your skin.

Do you have acne? Well, learning proper face care for acne prone skin can drastically cut down on the number and frequency of acne breakouts.

Summer Care for Acne Prone Skin

Summer can hit those who suffer from acne pretty hard. So it is important to learn the basics of summer care for acne prone skin.

Summer is a time for having fun in the sun. But the summer heat can wreak havoc on your skin, especially if you suffer from acne and other breakouts. In fact, you probably find that you suffer from more breakouts during that time of year than any other.

To prevent as many of those pesky breakouts as possible, it's important to know the best way to take care of your skin during the summer months.

Here are some things you should keep in mind.

Keep Your Skin Clean

During the summer, the heat, and increased physical activity, can cause you to sweat more, and sweat can cause dirt and other impurities to cling to your face. Your skin will also produce more oils, which can end up blocking your pores, and resulting in more breakouts.

During the warm summer months, you have to be more diligent about keeping your skin clean.

Gently wash your face twice a day with lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser. Then gently pat your face dry. Remember not to rub or scrub, because that could aggravate your acne problem, making it worse.

If you spend the day outside, or engage in strenuous physical activity, you might want to wash your face as soon as possible, to remove excess oil and sweat.

Protection from the Sun

The sun's harmful rays can aggravate your acne problems. So you need to protect yourself.

Wear a sunblock with and SPF of at least 15. This is an easy guideline to follow. Many moisturizers now contain sunblock. Make one of these moisturizers part of your regular skincare regimen, and you will keep your skin protected.

Make sure your sunblock and moisturizer, along with the rest of your grooming products, are water-based, or non-comedogenic.

You should also try to keep your face out of direct sunlight. So, when you go outside, consider wearing a hat with a wide brim or bill. This will shade your face from the sun.

Wear Less Makeup

Wearing less makeup will help prevent your pores from getting clogged. It will also let your skin breathe.

During the summer months, consider limiting your beauty routine to lip-gloss and a light moisturizer.

Many people suffer from more acne breakouts during the summer than during any other time of the year. So, if acne is a problem for you, learning the proper summer care for acne prone skin will help to drastically decrease the number of breakouts you have to deal with.

How To Get Rid Of Acne

Acne Scar Cream: Dealing with the Scars Acne Leaves Behind

Can acne scare creams really get rid of your scars?

Definitely. Especially if you use the right product.

It almost doesn't seem fair, does it? For years, you struggle to get rid of your acne problem. Then, even when you finally manage to beat it, it's not really over. Why? Because there are plenty of scars left behind as constant reminders.

For some people, the scars are as troublesome as the acne that caused them. Fortunately, there are things you can do to drastically reduce, or even eliminate, these unpleasant reminders. And one of the things you can do is use the ZENMED Scar and Hyperpigmentation Treatment Kit.

What Is ZENMED?

ZENMED is a dual action system designed to treat scarring and skin imperfections. Formulated by doctors, ZENMED is perfect for anyone suffering from the dark spots and scars left behind by acne breakouts.

ZENMED can also help reduce or eliminate other skin problems, including the freckling and spotting caused by sun exposure, and unwanted darkening of the skin caused by aging.

How Does ZENMED Work?

Many people pay hundreds of dollars to have a facial peel performed by an esthetician. But, with ZENMED, you can enjoy the benefits of the same type of treatment, in the comfort of your own home, and at a fraction of the price.

Nature helps bring old, dead skin cells to the surface of the skin. But a peel speeds up this process. Then, the dead skin cells are gently sloughed away to reveal fresh, new, younger looking skin.

The Benefits of Using ZENMED

The ZENMED system is a 10 treatment system, performed 2 or 3 times a week. You will see dramatic results after the first use. And, with each successive treatment, the look and condition of your skin will continue to improve.

After the very first treatment, fine lines will diminish, and any bumps on the surface of your skin will disappear. Your skin will look younger and smoother, and will have a healthy glow.

After your third or fourth treatment, acne scars and hyperpigmentation will gradually diminish. Your collagen levels will have increased, making your skin look plump and healthy. And any dry patches on your face will be gone.

Finally, after 8 to 10 treatments, the appearance of wrinkles and skin imperfections will have been drastically minimized. And acne scars will appear lighter and less visible.

If you are looking for an effective acne scar cream, give ZENMED a try. The ZENMED Scar and Hyperpigmentation Treatment Kit has been proven to get results.

People with few or no problems with acne are enviable. Not only do they suffer less or no self-esteem problems from being self-conscious, they also avoid spending time and money addressing their skin problems. Since we can't all be God-sends, we just need to know, like you said, what aggravates our skin problems and what practices and products work for each individual. Good hub. I'm into skin care myself, which is why I found your hub.
