My 4-year old loves the Smart Cycle. He enjoys hopping on the bike and racing. It is great exercise and he is having fun with his numbers and letters. In fact, my 2-year old wants a turn. It is great to hear, Mom I'm exercising and knowing that he is having fun and developing great habits. I would definitely recommend this product for all pre-schoolers.
I have purchased several top rated, award winning interactive learning toys offered by well known manufacturers for my four year old son. I must say the Smart Cycle is, by far, the one that entertains him the most. In addition, the smart cycle provides exercise. Unlike other learning toys that he plays for ten minutes and looses interest. It's great when it is too cold outside or the weather is bad and he can not go outside to play. I highly recommend the Smart Cycle for any young child. This toy teaches a variety of pre-school fundementals andis enjoyable to the child.
You should have seen the look on my boy's face when he saw the box for the bike. His eyes lit up and he started yelling, "My bike! My bike!" Getting the bike together was easy enough and only took about 10 minutes. All you have to do is put some pieces together, plug it into the TV, insert the game cartridge and install 4 D batteries. My son's been playing with the bike for about 45 minutes now with no boredom in sight (this from a kid that loses interest REALLY quickly.)

The Smart Cycle comes with a "learning adventure," in which your child drives a car by pedaling the bike and turning the handlebars. She can splash through mud puddles and take treacherous corners as she tries to catch letters of the alphabet along the road. She'll learn to keep pedaling to keep moving, while at the same time learning her alphabet!

The Smart Cycle Reviews are very positive for this product. While the facts and figures about childhood obesity certainly are alarming, it is questionable whether kids today need another edutainment device to lose weight! Which is what Fisher-Price's Smart Cycle finally boils down to - a TV based interactive electronic entertainment system. However, to give credit where it's rightly due, the Smart Cycle has a real edge over the other stationary and more videogame-like products available for young kids today - it does make kids exercise. - 7 months ago

Discount Prices - Fisher Price Smart Bike - Click Now The Fisher Price Smart Bike comes with an easy-to-follow instruction manual, and the set-up only took a few minutes. However, one minor set-back we experience was that we needed the paper instruction manual on hand to understand how to play the video game; we found some elements of the games to be nearly impossible to understand without the instructions. An intuitive set of online instructions designed for children to follow, without the need to consult a paper manual, would make for a near-ideal gaming experience for any child (and parent). Also, although the seat offers four height levels, the handlebars are not height adjustable, which may present a problem for some smaller children. We found the Fisher Price Smart Bike easy to assemble and very simple to install with our television set. All we needed for assembly was a Phillips screwdriver and four D batteries (not included). As long as your television or VCR is equipped with the red, white, and yellow RCA jacks to connect the Smart Bike, you're set to go. We simply connected the included plugs to the television's jacks, turned the television on, and we were ready for hours of fun. Once the game started, the cycle seemed easy enough to operate, making it not too much of a challenge to result in frustrating a child, but not so easy that it would soon become boring. With the additional optional game cartridges, we believe the Fisher Price Smart Bike promises to be a long-lasting source of entertainment. The Fisher Price Smart Bike uses a game cartridge system, so you're not just stuck with one collection. There's a bit of assembly involved out of the box but nothing more than a Phillips screwdriver is needed. The Cycle is powered by four D-cell batteries, which aren't included, so make sure you throw a pack of these into the shopping trolley as well. One set of batteries lasts a surprisingly long time. Of course, there are other game cartridges available for purchase, including Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants and other common characters. Regardless, there are plenty of essential skills that can be learned from these games, and along with the indoor exercise it offers, the Fisher Price Smart Bike is an overall plus. It should be a big hit with your grandchildren, and Parenting Magazine agrees, having chosen it as one of their Best Toys of 2008. Great reviews on the Fisher Price Smart Bike My grandson is 4 and loves this item. He is learning hand and eye cordination along with his abc and numbers. The only problem is it takes batteries and we go through alot of them. cant find where it would take a ac adapter. Would recommend highly. We bought this Christmas '07. Our boys are still using it - ages 4 amp; 7 now. They have four games, one they play over amp; over again even a year later. I am looking to get them some new games. The only problem we ever had, was our youngest - then 3 - sometimes wouldn't get the cartridge all the way in. His brother would usually fix it for him. This is the first video game for our boys and a good investment. Also it a wonderful nonviolent amp; educational. Very easy to set up amp; use, better than a stationary game, she is always moving and this keeps her attention. For those who say boring ,they have not really used this product.I have changed the batteries 1 time in 6 months and it is riden at least 1 hour every day. Great great great product. This will certainly be another hot kids Christmas gift for 2008 and will likely sell out in many places as the Christmas rush begins. Teaches: upper amp; lowercase letters, numbers amp; counting, spelling, problem-solving, shapes. matching. creativity. spatial reasoning. motor skills amp; lots more! What is the FisherPrice Smart Cycle , anyway? It's a stationary bike very much like an exer-cycle. The Smart Cycle reminds me of the arcade style games that one sees in places like Damp;B's and other similar gaming arcades. The FisherPrice Smart Cycle is a stationary bike meant for preschoolers which plugs directly into your TV's A/V jack. You can use the software title called Learning Adventure which is included or purchase more software separately for use with the FisherPrice Smart Cycle . Learning Adventure has three options: Driving, Learning Arcade Games and The Big Race. As the name suggests, in the Driving mode, your child can pedal through various environments while picking up interesting tidbits of information along the way. The learning arcade games are actual educational games in which your kids can use the joystick to play and learn about letters, numbers, shapes etc. The Big Race option offers the most fun of all - a fast paced race against a friend or other vehicles on the TV screen. A stationary bike, a learning center and an arcade game all in one. FisherPrice Smart Cycle plugs right into your TV, ready to take kids on learning adventures. As kids pedal, character friends guide them through learning discoveries, games and races. Use the joystick to reinforce important learning skills with plenty of games and activities. For ages 3–6 yrs. Review of the FisherPrice Smart Cycle I purchased this for my daughter's fourth birthday, and it is by far her favorite birthday gift. She also received a purple Schwinn Tigress, a Baby Alive, a red wagon, Diego Mega Blocks, and several other gifts--all that she had placed on her wish list. However, she hasn't played with any of those since opening the gifts--the only one that she seeks out is theFisherPrice Smart Cycle . The games are educational and fun--they operate like a mini-arcard that is controlled by the bicycle functions, including winning a race by how fast the child pedals. And yes, when pedaling in reverse, the program displays the reverse navigation on the TV screen. The display also limits the navigation to the given path so that no violent wrecks are possible--the cyclist is always safe on the path even though he or she may swerve back and forth mightily. My daughter now pedals like a pro! I am very reserved when it comes to writing reviews--who has time for it??? However, in this case, the product is well worth the time for writing this review. Great toy! Highly recommended! All things said and done, FisherPrice Smart Cycle is poised to be the next big thing in the toy world this year.
