Most Poisonous Snakes in India

Everybody fear from snakes. They dont know how to treat snake poison.But they are just animals,who actually fears humans. Some of them are poisonous but not all. And their are many misinterpretations about snakes, but the truth is snakes don't bite unless you fear them.


King Cobra

The most famous and most feared one snake in India. The King Cobra is a large and powerful snake.King Cobras  skin is either olive-green, tan, or black and it has faint, pale yellow cross bands down the length of the body. The belly is cream or pale yellow, and the scales are smooth.People treat King Cobra as God in India.

Indian Krait

Indian Kraits are covered in smooth glossy scales that are arranged in bold striped patterns of alternating black and light-colored areas. Found in most of the India. These are also called as Bungarus. These species contain neurotoxin venom that is 16 times more powerful than cobra venom. Krait venom is extremely powerful and quickly induces muscle paralysis. Clinically, their venom contains mostly pre-synaptic neurotoxin. It affect the ability of nerve endings to properly release the chemical that sends the message to the next nerve.


Russell's Viper

Head of the Russell's Viper is flattened,triangular also distinct from the neck. The snout of the Viper is blunt,raised and rounded. The supranasal has a strong crescent shape and separates the nasal from the nasorostral anteriorly.

             Most considarable thing about this snake is the ammount of Venoum Produced by it. The symptoms of the bite are pain at the site of the bite, immediately followed by swelling of the affected extremity. Also bleeding is a common symptom, especially from the gums, and sputum may show signs of blood within 20 minutes post-bite. There is a drop in blood pressure and the heart rate falls

That is some scary stuff, I would hate to wake up and find one of those in/near my bed. I had heard of the King Cobra before, but had not ever heard of a Russel's Viper or Indian Krait.

As they time when a person is bitten : Time is Tissue .

Usually there is an internal bleeding in the region of the

bite, it appears as a bunch of pararellel blood line which

also take a colour of dark blue, espicially if the viper's

venom is Hemotoxic .
