Jaw Supporter As A Snoring Aid

There has been a lot of research into equipment which will stop you snoring and dentists have designed what they call a mandibular advancement device.

These may sound as if they would be difficult to wear, but in fact recent advancements in technology have proved invaluable in making these snoring aids both comfortable and easy to adjust.

Chin straps are simple and relatively inexpensive devices which are used in the battle to eliminate snoring. When you are asleep, your muscles relax and quite often your mouth falls open. When this happens you are much more likely to snore. A chin strap will gently hold your mouth closed during the night and can prove an effective cure.

Snoring Pillows

Pillows that are designed specifically to reduce the chances of you snoring are now widely available. They can be bought either at High Street retailers or over the Internet. As well as helping to reduce snoring, they are also effective in relieving back and neck pains as they tend to be much firmer than normal run-of-the-mill pillows.

A multitude of pillows that claim to help reduce or stop snoring are now widely advertised in both high street shops and on the internet.  These pillows claim to work by helping keep your airway clear when you sleep, thus reducing the chances of you snoring.  They also help support your back and neck, again reducing the risk of you snoring.

If you suffer from orthopedic problems with your upper torso, then why not try using an anti snoring pillow to see if it can help.  Although these pillows are primarily designed to reduce or eliminate snoring, they can also help people who have problems with pains in their back or neck.  This is because they are designed to support the upper body during the night.

Orthopaedic pillows which are designed to help people who have problems with pains in their neck, shoulder or back can also help reduce snoring.  This is because they are designed to help support the head and neck which also results in the airways being kept open.  This can have a great affect on whether people snore or not.  Even if snoring does not stop completely, it can be dramatically reduced.

Numerous companies advertise special mouthguards which they promise will stop you snoring. In fact, some of the marketing campaigns are targeted at the partners of people who snore, suggesting that they buy these devices as a present for their loved one. However, some people may take offence if their partner produces a present in the shape of a mouthguard.

Earplugs Work!

Snoring can cause a lot of problems, not only for the person who snores but also for their partner who keeps getting disturbed by the noise. However, all is not lost!! Rather than spend a lot of money on some expensive device which promises much, but probably delivers a lot less, why not simply invest in a pair of earplugs?

Blocked and inflamed nasal passages can be very annoying, not only for you but also for your partner. This is because if you are suffering from a blocked nose, the chances are that when you fall asleep you will start to snore. Whilst this might not affect you, it will certainly cause a problem for your partner.

A Shocking Snoring Aid!

There is a new snoring device which has recently been developed to help people to stop snoring. These wrist strap devices have been designed in the knowledge that people who lie on their back are much more likely to snore. The idea is that the devices will pick up the sound of snoring and deliver a gentle electrical pulse which wont wake the wearer but will make them turn over.

Rather than spend a fortune on devices which promise faithfully to either reduce or stop you snoring, why not take a close look at your lifestyle to see if there are a few common sense things you can try first? If you smoke, its yet another reason to try to stop as its well known that smokers are more likely to snore than non-smokers.
